GREATER HELPER

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 28TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: GREATER HELPER

MEMORIZE: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 41:14-20

“14. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. 15. Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. 16. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. 17. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. 18. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. 19. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: 20. That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.”

EXPOSITION:

Today we want to look at the number eight category of helpers. It is God Almighty. This Helper called the Right One, the ever sure Helper of men. He is present help in trouble – Psalm 46:1. He is the helper that will never mock you when He helps you. His interest is to help the helpless & the poor. It is God, our Creator. He created you in His image for a definite purpose – to show forth His praise. Whenever there is a force militating against His people to eliminate or afflict them, He is ready to intervene. This great God is faithful & He is equal to His word. Whatever He says, He means it. He is not a man that He should lie. He is a true helper ever known in all generations. In Isaiah 41:17-18, He says, "When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

What does it means to get rivers of water when one is thirsty. It is God's divine way of providing help for His people in a greater manner than their needs. It is the confirmation of Psalm 104:27-28 saying, "All these wait upon you; that you may give them their food in due season. That which you give them they gather: you open your hand, they are filled with good."

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I need your help that never fail, come and help me today

NB: If you have any specific way you want God to help, mention it to Him now and trust Him for answer.

DON'T GIVE UP

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 25TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: DON’T GIVE UP

MEMORIZE: “Then Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”  John 11:21.

SCRIPTURE READING: John 11:11-27, 33-44.

EXPOSITION:

Failure and disappointed expectation bring frustration. This leads to giving up on something. I know of people who gave up praying because they didn’t get answer to some of their prayer requests. Some gave up on their certain expectations because answer to their expectations was delayed. It may delay, but it will surely come. Don’t give up.

The barrenness of Hannah was like eternity to her. She could have gave up on God but she did not. She kept on praying till God gave her answer, Samuel, who became nation solution to the leadership problem of Israel – 1 Samuel 1:1-28. If Jabez had given up on prayer, he would have died in his poverty. He cried unto God until God answered him – 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. Martha and Mary, sisters of Lazarus had given up on the resurrection of their beloved brother because Jesus was delayed in his coming till their brother died and was buried for four days. Glory be to God because death was challenged and Lazarus was restored back to life. He latter fulfilled his days on earth – John 11:1-45.

What are you experiencing now? Is life hard for you? Are you suffering sickness that defiles medication and even prayer? Are you in debt that is insulting your personality? Don’t give up. God will surely step into your case today. Just trust Him with your life and keep praying the more. Confess it God's intervention over your predicament. Claim the blessings of God's word into your life! And you will laugh at last. God loves you and you will come out victorious soon in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: Pray for God’s timely intervention over whatever may make you give up on God, and God will help you out.

POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTER – Part 1

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 23TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTER – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”  Matthew 8:10.

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 32:24-30.

EXPOSITION:

Divine Encounter is meeting God in a supernatural way resulting to great transformation in the part of man. Without divine encounter, man will remain ordinary and may not be able to challenge his enemies whom he sees stronger, bitter and hostile to him.

Jacob remained in exile for twenty years for fear of his angry brother, Esau whom he has stolen his identity and birthright blessing. Even when it was necessary for him to return to home, he was still afraid of meeting with his brother. At this time, he needs divine encourter that will change his identity from the stolen one he has been carried about to the one that will help him fulfill his original destiny. While he was alone, he received an angelic visitation. He acknowledged this might be his last chance of seeing divine being. Surely, he needs heavenly blessing that brings total transformation. He grabbed the angel and wrestled with him till almost day breaking. His desire and request has been, “I will not let you go, except you bless me!” Genesis 32:26. At the end, his name and identity was changed and blessed.

What has defined your life? What do people know you for? You need divine intervention to be able to do beyond the natural. Divine encounter activates virtues that are dormant in man and increases man’s value. Divine encounter makes you special and relevant in the kingdom service. Without this encounter, Jacob would have been running away from his brother all through his life, but he found favour from his brother who was once hostile against him. Divine encounter bring you in favour with God and men.

PRAYER POINT:

i. Lord, I desire divine encounter that will transform me from ordinary to extra-ordinary in my walk with you in Jesus name.

ii. Lord, let me experience you in a new dimension that will make me an instrument of honor in your mighty hand in Jesus name.

POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTER – Part 2

Topic: POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTER – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested.”  1 Chronicles 4:10.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.

EXPOSITION:

One of the things we don’t have power to choose for ourselves is who gave birth to us, the family we came from. Many who don’t need children are having them and were aborting them, while those who are legally married might be barren. God is God in all these. Mad women are giving birth. Children of such mentally insane have no choice about who gave birth to them. It is their making. Jabez was a victim of this, as he was born to a woman who saw him as a son of sorrow. We didn’t see the picture of any father in the scene, meaning he might have been rejected by the man who impregnated his mother or that his mother died shortly after his delivery. His mother named him, “son of my sorrow”. Since then, sorrow has become his portion. It took divine encounter for Jabez to change his destiny form the son of sorrow to an honorable. The Bible testifies that he was more honorable than all his brethren because God favoured him.

It was divine encounter that Saul had on his way to Damascus that made him a new person. The way had been persecuted now became his lifestyle and what he laid down his life for. He possessed the heart God can trust and use for the kingdom expansion. When you experience divine encounter, your life that is view and addressed as ordinary will be transformed. You will become an instrument of honor in the hand of God. It is an experience we should all seek for our living. Know for sure that “he that seeks, finds” Matthew 7:7-8.

PRAYER POINT:

Pray for divine encounter that will make your life meaningful and fruitful in the hand of God.

FAITH: THE EYE THAT SEES POSSIBILITY IN IMPOSSIBILITIES – Part 2

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 22TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: FAITH: THE EYE THAT SEES POSSIBILITY IN IMPOSSIBILITIES – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”  Matthew 8:10.

SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 8:5-10.

EXPOSITION:

Seeing beyond natural through eyes of faith is what makes you a man of spiritual virtues. Men of old lived by faith. The Centurion's faith was highly commended by our Lord Jesus Christ. It was called, great faith. He saw answer to his servant's sickness in the word of Jesus. “The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” — Matthew 8:8.

Moses also was told to strike the rock to bring them water for the children of Israel to drink in the wilderness, a congregation estimated to worth three millions in number. He did it by faith in the word of God, and water gushed out in abundant till they all drank to their satisfaction. To the natural senses, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.

What you see with you eyes of faith is surely achievable in this natural world. Your terrifying enemies can be brought down under you in defeat, when you have God on your side by faith. Your security and protection is sure if you can see it with your eyes of faith. Faith enables positive confession in confirmation of what you have seen. On the other hand, you possibly doubt what you cannot or do not see. Develop your eyes of faith today, to unlock the riches of heaven in your favour. Faith, the eye that sees God in action in the face of impossibilities.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I receive eyes of faith that unlock the riches of the kingdom of God on earth in Jesus name.

FAITH: THE EYE THAT SEES POSSIBILITY IN IMPOSSIBILITIES – Part 1

Topic: FAITH: THE EYE THAT SEES POSSIBILITY IN IMPOSSIBILITIES – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him..”  Hebrews 11:6.

SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrews 11:1-6.

EXPOSITION:

Faith, by biblical definition, “is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Heb. 11:1. NKJV.

“Faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen.” (American Standard version 1901).

“Faith is a well-grounded assurance for which we hope, and a conviction of the reality of things which we do not see.” Weymouth New Testament.

“Faith is the substanting of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Darby English Bible.

Faith in another word is seeing God greater than what you are passing through. It is seeing the power of God at work in your favour, not minding what is facing you. Faith does not mean that the problem is not existing or has gone, but  that God is able to handle it and settle it. God is able to disgrace the wisdom of men with a foolish thing. Faith is man’s hand to receive the wonderful provision of God.

Learn from David, a man of great faith in God. While other superiors saw terrifying weapons on Galiath, his experience of battle from his youth age, his stature and his audible voice with which he terrified his opponents, they concluded, he is unapproachable and undefeatable. This was the reason no one could face him in battle for forty days and nights. But when David came, he saw the Mighty man in battle, the Lord of Hosts, greater than Goliath, watching his back. He saw God greater than Goliath in stature, experience and in invisible weapons… He confronted the giant in the name of God and brought him down in total defeat. What a mighty God we are serving.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, help me to develop my eyes of faith in you to see your greatness in all my situation in Jesus name.

BEWARE OF THE KINDS OF JONADAB

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SUNDAY, 20TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: BEWARE OF THE KINDS OF JONADAB

MEMORIZE: “But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David's brother. Now Jonadab was a very crafty man.”  2 Samuel 13:3.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Samuel 13:1-5, 30-33.

EXPOSITION:

Friendship is the relationship that exists between two people of likeminded. It is one of the strong pillars that uphold life. It is as old as the creation of man. Friendship is good and helpful when they have good combination. There are lots of good examples of good friends in the Bible… Jonathan and David is a good example of friendship. They love each other like the love for women. The bible says, their souls knit together in an uncommon unity, love and friendship. Friendship beautifies life and brings fortunes. It shares with other person in joy and sorrow. It is not always demanding but also contributing to the well being of one another.

But the friendship that existed between Amnon and Jonadab was an example of bad example. He misled him by giving him how to commit an abominable. What baffles me was that it was this same Jonadab that told David that only Amnon died in the hands of Absalom for the abominable committed to Tamar.

What kind of friend are you to those you are walking? Are you a good and helpful type or a liability and an error. Do you refuse to tell your friends truth because you don’t want to lose what the blessings you are enjoying from them? You become Jonadab to your friends not minding the consequence. Don’t forget, whatever we do on earth is a seed, we shall reap its harvest tomorrow. You are to help them in life but if you refuse, you are no longer relevant in their lives. Tell them thee truth if at all they will desert you. Know for sure that they will remember you tomorrow and value all your contributions in their lives. Be a helpful friend and not a liability. Be a blessing, not a curse. God is watching you and will reward all your motives and actions.

On the other hand, do you have a friend that is not giving you godly advise? Do you have a friend that usually leads you to do evil – a partner in crime? Do away with them today because when the repercussion comes, you may be the one to bear it alone. Amnon died alone while his adviser survived it. Friend that cannot add value to your life is not worth keeping. Think twice and act wisely.

PRAYER POINT:

i. Lord, I disassociate myself from every unproductive (ungodly) friends in my life in Jesus name.

ii. Lord, I receive grace to be godly and impactful positively in the society, and most especially to my friends in Jesus name.

YOUR CASE MAY NOT NEED ANGELIC VISITATION

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 19TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: YOUR CASE MAY NOT NEED ANGELIC VISITATION

MEMORIZE: “The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."”  John 5:7.

SCRIPTURE READING: John 5:1-9.

EXPOSITION:

Pool Bethesda was a special pool to Jerusalem. It receives angelic visitation once in a year which brings healing to all kinds of sickness and infirmities. But with a condition: the first person to enter in after angel has stirred it shall be made whole from whatever illness he/she is suffering from. Many people have been healed at the angelic visitation. But there was a man who had been diseased with infirmity and had been carried there for his possible healing. He had suffered for the past thirty-eight years by the pool, yet with no one to help him. Someone whom he might look unto for help to carry him into the water would definitely have come for their own healing too. He remained there with no one to help him. He might have thought that God had forgotten him. Little did he know that he would not need angelic visitation but the touch of the Master, Jesus Christ.

On a day of divine visitation, He that is greater than angels came for his rescue. Though he didn’t know Jesus, yet, that will not stop Jesus from helping him. He received the touch of Jesus and the word of God touched his situation. He got up immediately and was healed completely. He recovered without entering the pool.

Is your case defiling angelic visitation? Are you frustrated and think it is over for you? God may choose not to approach your situation the way you think. All you need is God’s intervention in your favour. Seek Him more in sincerity of heart with good expectation. He will surely be found of you. Angelic visitation is good, but He that is greater than angels is much nearer to you than imagined. Seek Him today and you will praise Him at last.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I need your divine touch today, touch me today in Jesus name.

CONFESSION FOR VIRTUOUS LIVING

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 18TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

CONFESSIONS FOR VIRTUOUS LIVING.

(Dedicated for women of godly virtues and as many that desire to be godly.)

MEMORIZE: “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30.

SCRIPTURE READING: Proverbs 31:10-31.

EXPOSITION:

Faith-based confession brings into existence those things God promised. To confess means “to speak the same thing.” As you confess what God says about you, the evidence will manifest (Isaiah 44:26). Since creation, women were created to be loving, dedicated and helpful. Women are simple and fragile. When renewed by the blood of Jesus, they are strong in building lives and homes. Women are symbols of love, fruitfulness, agents of unity in the family. But when overpowered by evil, they are very destructive and tools in the hands of the devil. She can be easily possessed by demons to destroy anything possible. To this effect, whatever spirit that possesses a woman will definitely determines the function she will perform. If it is God, then she is godly, but if devil, she is destructive. Therefore, as women, we must make positive confession for our lives and destinies. We must strive to be godly and be defeat the devil and its demonic influence.

Here are some confessions to help you on your way to becoming a virtuous woman:

I am a virtuous woman. I am capable, intelligent, trustworthy, dependable and supportive. I am clothed with strength, dignity and anointing. I am an excellent representation of Christ in my relationships, my dress, the words I speak and in my total being. I am a woman after God's own heart. I have all things that pertain to life and godliness. Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwell in me; therefore, I am equipped to carry out God's purpose for my life. You know what's best for me, and I trust You. I make a decision to align my will with Yours. I commit to spend more time with You. Help me to remember that submission is for my protection. I repent where I have not been willing to submit. When I repent, You are faithful and just to forgive me and to cleanse me of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). I will operate neither dishonorably nor rebelliously because it will hinder You and Your anointing from intervening on my behalf. I receive the release of Your anointing to do, with excellence, all that You desire. I declare this to be so now in Jesus' name. Amen

NATURE OF GOD'S GRACE - Part 2

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY, 17TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

THE NATURE OF GOD’S GRACE – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” - 2 Tim. 1:9.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Timothy 1:8-10.

EXPOSITION:

Yesterday we started by discussing four points from the nature of God’s grace. Today, we shall continue from point number five.

5. It is one of God’s infinite attributes. “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”- Eph. 1:2; “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” - 2 Tim. 1:9.

6. It is the foundation for our service and strength for the daily Christian living – “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood.” Gal. 1:15-16; “And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Cor. 12:9; “Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.” 1 Thess. 2:16.

7. It is out of the medium through which we were saved. For we are save by grace through faith and blood of Jesus. “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:5,8.

8. It is Christian enabling power for profitable kingdom service. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13.

Whatever grace is not doing in a Christian life, human power cannot achieve it. We must desire more of His grace everyday of our lives till we see Him face to face. The more of Him we possess daily will determine how relevant we can be our Christian living and in His kingdom service.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I cherish and desire your grace to be at work in me every day of my life to be useful in your kingdom on earth in Jesus Name.

NATURE OF GOD'S GRACE - Part 1

THE NATURE OF GOD’S GRACE – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.” Romans 11:6.

SCRIPTURE READING: Ephesians 2:4-5.

EXPOSITION:

By nature, I mean the essential qualities or characteristics by which the grace of God is recognized. Nature is the complex of emotional and intellectual attributes that determine a person’s characteristic actions and reaction.

The Nature of God’s Grace includes:

1. It is gift of God and unmerited. “And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.” Romans 11:6; You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.” Gal. 5:4.

2. It is propel by the love of God towards mankind. “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).” Eph. 2:4-5. “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8.

3. It was established right from the foundation of the world – “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” 2 Timothy 1:8-10.

4. It is unlimited. It operation goes beyond ethnic, language, and racial religions and barriers. – "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they." Acts 15:11; John 1:11-12; 3:16.

Action Point: Above all other things, cherish and desire grace until you see it manifesting in your daily life.

THE REALITY OF GOD'S GRACE

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 15TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

THE REALITY OF GOD'S GRACE

MEMORIZE: “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:33

SCRIPTURE READING: “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” Romans 5:6-9.

EXPOSITION:

The purpose of studying this topic is to impress upon our hearts the importance of God’s grace in our day to day Christian life. Also, divine expectation as in individual response to God given grace. The Greek word “CHARIS” means grace, benefit, gift, liberality, or favour. The revelation and manifestation of grace ring from Genesis to Revelation (Gen. 6:8; Rev. 22:21). Why was the grace of God so important in the experience of the early Christian? Acts 4:38. There are Two Scriptural Aspects of God’s Grace:

i. God’s Unmerited Favour: Even though we were sinners, deserving of judgment, God looked upon us in love and forgave us. Eph. 2:8-9.

ii. God’s Enabling Power: Not only does His grace make us accepted into the family of God, but it also provides the power we need to live the Christian life. 2 Thess. 2:16-17; Acts 14:26.

Note: In salvation, not only is God’s unmerited favour expressed but also is God’s enabling power – for it is only by His power that we can be transformed. This principle of grace continues through our walk with God. In every area of our Christian lives, it is God’s grace that causes us to grow and be strong in order and helps us bear fruits of the kingdom.

It is through the enabling grace we receive power to do the unusual in terms of miracles and healing. Things that we could not have done through our natural strength are done by the enabling power of His grace. While unmerited favour made us worthy of being enlisted in the kingdom service, the enabling power makes us instruments of God’s wonders in the body of Christ to the world. We are who grace makes us to be. May His grace be abound in us more and more in our daily living in Jesus Name.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, Give me Your grace, abundant grace to follow you and be who you want me to be for you and for the good of humanity in Jesus name.

THE EVIL OF UNGUIDED SEX

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 14TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Specially dedicated to the Youths on valentine Day, 2022.

Topic: THE EVIL OF UNGUIDED SEX

MEMORIZE: “Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.” Proverbs 5:15.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Samuel 13:1-20.

EXPOSITION: In the olden days, when people are having the fear of God in their hearts, virginity in ladies was what they celebrated most. Sexual sanctity was the order of the day. Ladies were the focus of attraction on their wedding day. The bride’s father will be handsomely rewarded with public commendation for training his daughter well, because of her virginity. Any lady who by any circumstance loss her virginity, for example, by raping, she will be like widow even when not married. She will be in mourning. But at this age of civilization, ladies have sold their destinies for naught. Sad to say, ladies of these days don’t even see anything good to value in their virginity. Men on their side do not value it either. This may be one of the major factors contributing to why couples are easily tired of one another after marriage, reasons behing increase in polygamy and polyandry and increase in divorce rate and lack of trust in the home. I initially thought that sex is the proof of love, but prostitutes have proven that there can be sex without love and that the person that has sex with you now can also kill you thereafter. One may have multiple sex with different people without any love. Sex is a strong trap most ritualists use to entice their victims.

Sex is a covenant. It is a serious bond between two so called lovers. It has power both to grow life and bring fortunes and also to utterly destroy one’s destiny. It was sex mishandled by Samson that destroyed him. Little did he know that his so called lover did not love him at all, until he was betrayed to the hands of his enemies. Sex is commanded and commended by God only between married couple. Valentine have destroyed many destinies. Eating unripe fruit can damage your appetite for good food. Premarital and extra-marital sex are sins against God. The end result is very disastrous and deadly.

In our today’s Scriptures reading, Amnon lusted after his half sister, Tamar. He even fell sick because of her. He later raped her and detests her. This is life of an unregenerated man. Two years later, he was murdered as a punishment over his evil action. Samson also reaped the bitter fruit of premarital sex. Solomon also regret at the end of his life for multiplying wives, the wisest man became the most foolish and wounded man. Sex outside the will of God exposes you to insecurity and God’s anger and judgment. Abraham regrets his sexual error, even till today we wish he never did it.

It is so disastrous that today’s young ladies and women have made themselves stumbling blocks to many innocent men by their indecent dressing and urge for sex for material wealth. At the same time, some men are instruments of waste in the hands of the devil. Be sensitive and careful, enemies desire your soul to destroy it. Don’t be a prey in their hands. Sanctify your vessel “Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.” Proverbs 5:15. It is written, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Heb 13:4. God's judgement is severe on fornicators and adulterers. Repent and guard your heart and action, so as not to see the anger of God.

PRAYER POINT:

i. Lord forgive me of my wasted life through fornication and adultery in Jesus name.

II. Let’s pray for all the youth that God take control of their heart, that they will desire God more than all other things on earth in Jesus name.

iii. Pray that the youthful time and life of our youth shall not be wasted by the devil in Jesus name.

IT IS LUST, NOT LOVE!

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SUNDAY, 13TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Today and tomorrow's Messages are specially designed to warn both the youth and married at this Valentine period not to mess up themselves in the name of love.

Topic: IT IS LUST, NOT LOVE

MEMORIZE: "Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house."  2 Samuel 11: 4.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Samuel 11:2-4.

EXPOSITION:

Love and lust seem to be the same but are very different in meaning and in their end results. Love is from God. It is the root for peaceful co-existence and progress of any family or organization. But lust is a devourer of destiny and home. Love is not base primarily on sex or material benefits, but lust depends solely on sex and its financial and material benefits. You cannot love someone you don’t know or have relationship with, but lust can attract sex with the person seeing for the first time, without foreknowledge of him/her. Relationship based and powered by love bring peace, joy, progress and long life but any relationship based and motivated by lust bring death, injuries, regret and bitter end.

Let’s establish our facts from the Scriptures…

David: Sexual relationship that happened between David and Bathsheba was powered by lust in David. Despite the fact that Bathsheba has married, and her husband was one of David’s faithful and committed boys at the war front, yet he will not think of this but just to satisfy his immediate need - sexual desire. At the end, he earned curse from God upon himself and his family. “'Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.' "Thus says the LORD: 'Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. 'For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.'" 2 Samuel 12:10-12.

Amnon: Amnon was the crown prince of David. He was believed to be the one to inherit the throne after his father. But he fell into the error of his father as he lusted after his half-sister, Tamar. He would not be at rest until he has canal knowledge with her, not minding that it is an abomination. Of a truth, he satisfied himself by disvirgin her but earned untimely death two years later as its repercussion – 2 Samuel 13.

Samson: Samson was a product (son) of angelic visitation with the mission to deliver his people, Israel, from the bondage and affliction of the Philistines. He was endowed with divine strength that no one can decode. He became defiled when he soiled his hands in sin of immorality (lust) and other sins. He violated the order of God for his Nazarite's consecration. One of the accounts of his declination in sin reads: “Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her.” Judges 16:1 KJV. This could not satisfy him until he ended all his destiny on the laps of Delilah – Judges 13-16.

On the reality of love, God commanded the husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the Church and gave himself for her. This love is the foundation to having happy home and longevity of life. True love never hurts one another. True love was seen existing between Abraham and Sarah, this helped them to overcome every challenge they encountered in life. It was true love that made Rebecca to follow Eliazer, Abraham’s chief servant, to marry Isaac she has never meet in life. True love made Joseph and Mary to marry each other and stayed together till Jesus was born and weaned, without sexual intimacy.

Sex is not evidence of love. Lust is sex without love. At this time that love is misunderstood, we must be different by being on the Lord’s side. Free sex has become free gift in this generation. Lust has destroyed many destinies and dreams. Misunderstanding the true meaning of Valentine makes people called lust “love”. Whether single or married, we must be careful of immorality because it always has deadly end. And if any man refused to repent till death comes, eternity in hell is inevitable. Repent today!

PRAYER POINT:

i. Lord, I ask for forgiveness over my life I have misused in fornication and/or adultery.

ii. Lord, I receive power to live righteously and overcome live of immorality in Jesus name.

iii. Pray for the youth who are using their body for immorality and the married who are using their bodies for adultery.

THE QUALITIES OF OUR BURDEN BEARER

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 12TH FEBRUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: THE QUALITIES OF OUR BURDEN BEARER

MEMORIZE: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness...” Isaiah 41:10.

SCRIPTURE READING: John 10:11-16.

EXPOSITION:

Quality is an essential and distinguishing attribute of something or someone. Before anyone can be a burden bearer, there are qualities he must possess to prove he is qualified to be one. Jesus as our burden bearer possesses all these qualities…

i. He loves you. John 15:12-13- "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

ii. He is stronger than you and he is fit to carry your burden. – Isaiah 41:10-13.

iii. He is always available to help you – Psalm 46:1.

iv. He is humble to carry your burden. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matt. 11:29.

v. He is ready to go with you - Matt. 28:20. vi. His wages is not burdensome.Matthew11:28-30.

vii. He is not ashamed of you – 2 Corinthians 6:17-18.

You may ask why should you release your burden to him? It is because you cannot carry your burden by yourself no matter how you try to but He is able to see you through. He has offered Himself to help you voluntarily and willingly – Matt.11:28.

How Should You Respond To Your Burden Bearer? i. Don’t harden your heart to his bid to help you – Hebrews 15-19. ii. Seek for the true way and walk therein – Jeremiah 6:16. iii. Believe Jesus that He can do it in your life. Hebrews 3:12-13. iv. Hand over your burden unto Him – 1 Peter5:6-7.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I thank you for being my burden bearer. I trust you and confess you to be my burden bearer.

THE BURDEN BEARER

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 11TH FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: THE BURDEN BEARER

MEMORIZE: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew11:28-29.

SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew11:28-30

EXPOSITION:

BURDEN is a weight or load, on body or soul; often used figuratively, to denote afflictions, failure, sins, Psalm38:4; 55:22; Gal.6:2; services under law, Matthew 23:4; official responsibilities, Exodus18:22; Deuteronomy 1:12; and especially prophetic messages, not always of a threatening character, Isaiah19:1. Labour – Greek “Kopiao” –  to feel fatigue, to work hard, toil. Portidzo – to carry a load; to over-burdened with ceremony. The yoke of sin and pain of guilt and affliction is laid on man through sin. And nothing we can do by our natural power that can relief us. The men of old tried all they could but ended up being slaves to laws through violation of it. Sin then men seek way out.

Who is our burden bearer? Jesus Christ. He says – “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew11:28-29. Isaiah declared concerning him, “Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed…” Isaiah 53:4-9.

The stripes on our Lord Jesus Christ was/is still for our healing, the healing from all kinds of diseases, infirmities, sicknesses, illnesses and all unhealthy living we might be exposed to. By His stripes, we are healed. Yes, we are healed, even before we any symptom of it. He took our infirmities upon himself. We only need to walk by faith to exercise the Scripture concerning our healing by his stripes. When we are helpless and weak, Christ took it upon himself to bear our burden. He is our burden bearer. Cast your burden/care upon Him because He cares for us.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I release all my burdens unto you today, help me bear them all as from today. I cannot help myself, only you can help me.

HE CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY, 10TH FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: HE CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE

MEMORIZE: But thus says the LORD: "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children.” Isaiah 49:25.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 49:24-26.

EXPOSITION:

A captive is a person who is confined; especially a prisoner of war. We were all born into trouble by our natural birth. We thereby need deliverer so as not to die a captive. Most of the time, a captive has no power to deliver himself from the hands of the captor. Of a truth, many are the destinies that are been subjected to torture from birth even till death because they could not be released from the hand of their cruel captors. God says, “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, Or the captives of the righteous be delivered? But thus says the LORD: "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children.” Isaiah 49:24-25. What was impossible for man is definitely possible with God.

Jesus came to set captives free – Isaiah 61:1-3. He is the help to the helpless – Isaiah 41:10. As our burden bearer, he is our advocate, our defence attorney who is defending us before God the Father whenever we fall short of His righteousness -  “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1.  The burden of judgment and condemnation that is pronounced upon humanity since the fallen of man in the garden of Eden, Jesus Christ, our deliverer bore it upon himself on the cross at Calvary. And he said it is finished, the moment he got us victory over sin, flesh, the world and satan. “I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, And they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine. All flesh shall know That I, the LORD, am your Savior, And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."  Today we are no more condemned but justified. Our deliverance is not just spiritual alone, but also physical.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I receive deliverance from the prison of the captors of destinies both spiritually and physically in Jesus name.

Declare your deliverance from the hands of the enemies in whatever way you have been their victims in the name of Jesus Christ.

FLEE ZOAR

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 9TH FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: FLEE ZOAR

MEMORIZE: "So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed." Gen. 19:17.

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 19:4-18.

EXPOSITION:

As this charge was true at the plain of Zoar, so it is today. Escape for your dear life. Do not be like a seed sown among thorns. That seed has no capacity of escape but you have. Never let the present condition of this end time encroach you and deprive your getting to heaven. Do not compromise your stand like the wife of lot. She looked back and became a pillar of salt. Nothing on planet earth worth our heavenly glory.

Beloved, if there is any time to flee the plain of Zoar, the plain of temptation, plain of sin, plain of destruction and plain of no return, it is now. Our salvation is not complete until we lay our swords down at the feet of our master, the Lord Jesus Christ. Work your salvation with fear and trembling, bearing in your mind that staying in the suburb of Sodom and Gomorrah in dangerous to our making heaven.

The Zoar of internet, the plain of immorality, unforgiveness, jealousy, bitterness and the lust of amassing wealth are the commonest Zoar of our days. Fill in the gap of other vices capable eating our vine, and conclusively flee from every appearance of evil because the Captain of our salvation said, "But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." Rev. 21:27.

May God roast every force tying us down unto destruction with His consuming fire in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT

Father, help me to heed your warning so as not to be destroyed with the world in Jesus name.

RESPECT THE ANOINTING

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 8TH FEBRUARY, 2022

A Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: RESPECT THE ANOINTING

MEMORIZE: “Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm." Psalm 105:15.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Samuel 24:1-6

There is a saying that the anointing you don't respect will never work for you. When Elisha was following Elijah from one point to the other, the fifty sons of the prophet who were at Jericho were waiting to see the outcome, expecting that the relationship would end hopelessly. They even confronted Elisha and reminded him that his shine would soon be over because his master would soon be taken away. In 2 Kings 2:15, after they saw that a superior anointing had been transferred to Elisha, voluntarily, they all bowed before him. When the Holy Spirit comes upon an individual, he is no longer the same, irrespective of his age, status or qualifications. Despite all the activities of Saul in trying to destroy David, David still respected the anointing on Saul's life, even though his activities were incongruent with the word of God.

For those who respect the anointing, God has a way of changing death to life for them. He has a way of making their enemies to become their servants. The same sword that Goliath wanted to use in eliminating David was what David used to eliminate him. Another lesson from the life of David is this: David fought only the battles he could win. When you are rebelling against the leader God has put over you because of his firmness, you are already fighting a battle you can't win. You cannot fight against the anointed of God and win because God has already decreed it.

God fought for David throughout his sojourn. Whenever God decides to fight for someone, the battle is always very short and victory is assured. The person that God is fighting for may not even need to do anything at all other than just wait for victory. When the anointing comes upon your head by faith, you will never be the same again. The cup of this unction and power of the Lord will overflow on your head in the presence of your enemies. This uncommon anointing will break every yoke, heal every sickness, cure the incurable, set the captives free, raise the dead and enable you to rule in the midst of your enemies.

Have you partaken in rebellion against the anointed of God in any way? Repent and be converted today.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord Jesus, in whatever way I have rebelled against your servant, forgive me today.

Lord, whatever wound I have sustained as a result of my rebellion to your servants, please heal me today and cause me to recover from it perfectly in Jesus name.

SERVE GOD WITH WHOLE OF YOUR HEART

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 7TH FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: SERVE GOD WITH WHOLE OF YOUR HEART

MEMORIZE: “So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” Exodus 23:25.

SCRIPTURE READING: Deuteronomy 10:12-14.

EXPOSITION:

God who created and owns the heavens and the earth created them ALL for His pleasure, to show forth His praises, "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." Rev. 4:10-11; 1 Peter 2:9; That all may come unto Him to serve Him alone “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the LORD your God, also the earth with all that is in it.” Deut. 10:12-14. Serving God is all we are called to do. We must serve Him acceptably with our whole heart.

Deuteronomy 11:13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, “Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 13:3; cf Joshua 22:5; 1 Samuel 12:20. We must fear God and serve him in truth with all our heart. “Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. {how...: or, what a great thing}” 1Samuel 12:24.

Before we can be accepted to serve Him, we must be enlisted to be a member of God’s family by giving our lives to Jesus Christ. To accept Jesus and serve God through Him is a personal decision. For this purpose God created you and spare you till today. If you have not confessed Him, please do it now. Don't pretend to be alright if you relationship with God is not right. On the judgment day, only you will stand to give account of what you do with the salvation of your soul; no friend or parent will stand with you. Come out today from your secret sins and stand out for God in holiness and righteousness. No sin is too wicked that God cannot forgive, if you confess it and repent from it. And no sin is too small that He will ignore, if you refuse to confess it and repent from it. Run away from sin for it is capable of ending any man in hell fire.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord Jesus, help me to make my relationship with you cordial and fruitful in Jesus name.

Lord, let my service unto you and humanity be acceptable unto you and be blessed in return in Jesus name.

Topic: SATISFACTION COMES FROM GOD

MEMORIZE: “These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season. What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.” Psalm 104:27,28.

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 104:27-28.

EXPOSITION

God is so rich in wisdom and wealth. He is the creator of heaven and earth and the supplier of all the needs of the living things. According to our memory scriptures, it is written, “These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season. What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.” All creatures wait on Him for their daily provision, and He provides for them all. We can only find satisfaction in God and not in our struggles. But before we can experience this, we must trust Him for the supply of all our needs, not on some. We must therefore wait on Him for everything we desire in life. God is the answer to all our requests.

Devil sometimes appears like a giver of wealth, but of a truth, he is a deceiver. He doesn’t give things without collateral of one’s precious soul. He is a thief, a robber and destroyer of life and destiny. He is a liar and full of falsehood. Only God gives fortunes without putting you into bondage. Those who wait on Him shall renew their strength and shall be satisfied. Father Abraham, Job, David, Mordecai and the rest of the fathers of faith all wait on God and were satisfied. They became who they were because God made them to be it. When I don’t have power to become anything of my own without Him, except failure and shame, why will I not learn to wait on Him till He will attend to my cry and supply all my needs according to His word. I will wait on you, so to be relevant and blessed in your eternal purpose. As you go out into the world to seek your prosperity and satisfaction, may God protect you and your household and satisfy your desire in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Lord, I receive strength to wait on you till you provide satisfactorily for all my needs according to your riches in glory in Jesus Name.

2. Lord, I receive your wonderful abundant supply to all my needs now and always in Jesus Name.

DE-CAMP NOW!!!

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 5TH FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

Topic: DE-CAMP NOW!

EXPOSITION:

In the political arena, it is a common practice that one de-camp from a political party to another. Some de-camp as a result of the threat of failure or demotion in their formal party, while to some it is because of their advantage of elevation and strong backing in their newly embraced party. As long as the earth remains, so shall association and dissociation be in existence.

At creation, everything was beautifully made, named and earned their living - Gen. 1:31; Psalm 139:14. He created man to live eternally, it was sin that brought death. Devil, the first rebel was cast out from heaven into outer darkness -- Rev. 12:10-12. He became the enemy of God as he pitched his camp against God to be working against God and all that belong to God. You were created to make God happy, but when you allow sin in your life, you acting for the devil, breaking God's heart. As it is written, “the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23. The sin and its penalty on Adam passed on to his descendants through blood (birth) -- Romans 5:12, 14. We cannot help ourselves out. This is the reason why you find it easier doing evil, lying, deceiving... you love things of this world which are forbidden by God than to stand for God. Man is naturally born into the camp of the devil through sin. It is written, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalm 51:5. We cannot love God except we have the Spirit of God -- Romans 6:16; John 3:20. You urgently need to cross over to God's camp now.

Why are you still in the Camp of the Enemy? You are created by God for His praises, why are you displeasing Him. He cares for you, He died to deliver you from that old serpent, the thief, murderer and liar (Romans 5:8; John 8:44) to give you eternal life which devil has stolen away from you. He spared your life till today that you may hear this word of life and come to Him. He has lots of goodness to offer you - Psalm 81:13-16. He never gives a word He cannot keep. His integrity to His word is unquestionable. Eternal life is sure if you can de-camp from the devil to come back to Him today --John 1:12; 10:10. No matter how far you have gone sinning, turn back to Jesus today, He will both forgive you your sins and give you security from the attacks of the enemies. He will give you new life and you will become a new creature - 2 Cor. 5:17-19.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I renounce my association with the devil in whatever way I have been obeying him. I possess the life of Christ to the fullness henceforth in Jesus Name.

I receive power to say “No” to the dictations of sin and the devil in Jesus name.

UNLESS YOU COME OUT OF THEM...

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 4TH FEBRUARY, 2022

A Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Topic: UNLESS YOU COME OUT

Memorize: “Therefore Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6:17.

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

EXPOSITION:

A man fell inside a soak-away full of excretal. He was crying for help. Someone came to help him but he insists that he only needs soap and water because he wants to wash himself clean first before coming out. All this helper was saying didn’t make sense to him as he was claiming the place is stinking too much, he needs cleansing first. How can he be washed if he remains deep-sinking in the soak-away? How can you claim to be born again, sanctified when you remain in your secret sins. The provision for your forgiveness and total cleansing has been perfectly provided in Jesus Christ through His blood – 1 John 1:7. But as powerful, ever-sure and readily available this cleansing is, unless you willingly and genuinely come out of your sins and your association with the devil through lust and worldliness, you can never access it. And an unclean thing shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Isaiah 35:8 says, “A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.”

The word of God says in 1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” A sinner shall not see God unless he repents of his sins and turn to Him. God, who is ready to accept you back, is calling you to come out of your sin and alliance with the devil and embrace His new life of holiness. He says, “Therefore Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.” 2 Cor. 6:17-18. If you can heed His invitation, He is ready to receive you as you are, then cleanse you and make you a glowing saint. He will forgive you all your sins, erase them off and remember them no more. He said, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” – Heb 8:12; 10:17.

Prayer Point

Lord, I repent and come back to you in sincerity of heart from all my sin and renounce my alliance with the devil and worldliness in Jesus name.

I receive power to sin no more to be like you for the rest of my days in Jesus name.

JEHOVAH ROHI - The LORD Our SHEPHERD - 2

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Topic: JEHOVAH ROHI – The LORD Our SHEPHERD  – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “I am the good Shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11.

SCRIPTURES READING: John 10:1-10

EXPOSITION:

One of the titles of Jesus Christ is good shepherd. He said, he laid down his life as a good shepherd for the salvation and eternal safety of his sheep - “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11. David in his experience as a shepherd said, “Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear:” 1 Samuel 17:34-36. Why did he endanger his life like that? It was because he is their shepherd. He knows that sheep are helpless to fight against the ravenous animals by their strength. This made him to see and value God as his Shepherd. Jesus Christ said, “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” John 10:14. God is our Shepherd and we are his sheep. It is written in Psalm 100:3 that, “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture”. He watches over us – “Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.” – Psalm 121:4,5. He cares for us – “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7. He provides for all need – “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1. He helps us – “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'” Isaiah 41:10. He goes before you to fight for you – “For the LORD your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” Deuteronomy 20:4. Therefore, you must trust Him with your whole heart and commit yourself unto His hand, and He will direct your path unto good success. Those who see Him as their Shepherd have nothing good to lack because He is the owner of the universe and all riches and glory in it.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I appreciate the price you paid for my redemption as my Shepherd, help me to remain under your guidance and care all through my life in Jesus name.

JEHOVAH ROHI - The LORD Our SHEPHERD

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 2ND FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

Topic: JEHOVAH  ROHI – The LORD Our SHEPHERD – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1

Scripture Reading: Psalms 23

EXPOSITION:

David was an experienced shepherd from his childhood. On several occasions he was left alone in the wilderness with his father’s flock. The heart of his father could trust him that his sheep will not get lost, as long as David is in charge – 1 Samuel 16:10-11. He was sometimes faced with wild animals which came to attack his sheep and because of his love for these sheep, he endangered his life and make sure he killed them and rescue his father’s sheep. Here is his testimony before king Saul: “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear:” 1 Samuel 17:34-36.

In describing God as his shepherd, David wrote out of his golden experience. Sheep are completely dependent on the Shepherd for provision, guidance and protection. The New Testament called Jesus Christ our god Shepherd; the great Shepherd – Heb. 13:20; and the Chief Shepherd – 1 Peter 5:4. As the Lord is the good Shepherd, so we are His sheep – not frightened, passive animals, but obedience followers, wise enough to follow one who will lead us in the right places and in right ways. This psalm does not focus on the animal – like qualities of sheep, but on the discipleship qualities of those who follow. When you recognize the good shepherd, follow Him!

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I see and admit you as the shepherd of my soul. Provide, guide and protect me in all my daily living.
