FIRST DO MY OWN

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SUNDAY, 6TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: FIRST DO MY OWN

MEMORIZE: “And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.”  1 Kings 17:13-14.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Kings 17:8-16.

EXPOSITION:

Sometimes the way out of drought and insufficiency is giving out even the little you have to gain bigger. A man of God said, if what you have is not enough to satisfy you when eaten, he said, turn it to seed and sow it. In due time, it will yield bountiful harvest, if you sow it properly. So was the case of a widow in Zarephath of Sidon, she was about to eat her last meal together with her only son and then die, because there was severe famine in the land. But God tested her obedience through prophet Elijah. The man of God requested for food from her last meal, which was so painful to obey. But because of her reverential fear for and obedience to God, she obeyed and prepared food for the man of God. In response, she never lack sufficient food to take care of her family and the man of God.

All you need to do is to trust God and hold Him by His Word, you will surely laugh last over your insufficiency. The seed sown today properly guided into the service of God’s kingdom will never lack approval, commendation and blessings. Abraham paid tithe of all the spoils he gathered to Melchizedek, King of Salem, an high priest, God was happy with him and bless him more. Give to God even when it is hard to do. Give to God even when it is not enough in your hand. Give to God, not in eye service or to receive the praise of men. God is the rewarder of all we do with our resources. If He didn’t bless us, our labour will definitely be in vain. Imagine what would have happened to that widow if she had eaten her food without obeying the man of God. Only God knows what we have lose for our past disobedience. Start obeying Him from today, to enjoy His big hand of supplying your needs.

PRAYER POINT:

i. Lord, I give you my heart, help me to obey you and make you my first priority in all I desire and do in Jesus name.

ii. Lord, let there be nothing too difficult for me to give to you because you are the source of my provision in Jesus name.

HIDDEN TREASURES

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 30TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC : HIDDEN TREASURES

MEMORIZE: “And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” Isaiah 45:3

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 45:1-6

1. Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; 2. I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3. And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. 4. For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. 5. I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6. That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

EXPOSITION:

Treasures are precious objects of great value. The accumulation of such could however lead to pride (1 Timothy 6:17 ), greed (Luke 12:15 ), dishonesty (Joshua 7:21 ), and idolatry (Exodus 32:24 ).Real treasures are however spiritual with eternal value, and they come from knowing and serving God. Such treasures are usually hidden and could turn out to be anything around us: it was the slave girl in Naamans case (2 Kings 5:2-3 ), a little jar of oil in the case of the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7  and David in Jesses case (1 Samuel 16:11 ). Moses was the hidden treasure reserved for the salvation of Israel. I cited all these examples of ordinary people and objects that were hidden treasures to explain that the All-Knowing God is able to make all things work together for the good of His children. Romans 8:28  says: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

In many cases, treasures are not easily identified even when in plain view. That is why it is very important to develop a good relationship with God and live at peace with our neighbours. The slave girl may not have volunteered the information that led to Naaman’s healing had she been ill-treated in that household. The widows neighbours may not have loaned her so many vessels if she had not maintained a good relationship with them. The divine appointment of David as king and Moses as Israel’s first spiritual leader would not have happened if they did not have a good relationship with God. If you want God to reveal hidden treasures that would lead to great and unprecedented breakthroughs in your life, you must first accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, then live in total submission and obedience to God. Only then can you be sure of accessing the hidden treasures of God and all things will begin to work in your favour.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to identify the hidden treasures in my life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

COMPANY FOR THE LONELY

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TEUSDAY, 29TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC: COMPANY FOR THE LONELY

Memorize: “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20

SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrews 13:5-6

5. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

EXPOSITION:

Loneliness can be a very painful experience. It is possible to be in the middle of a large crowd and still be lonely. It is a lonely life when you are a good cook, but have nobody else to eat the meals you prepare. It is a lonely life when you see something and you laugh alone because there is nobody to laugh with. For anyone reading this devotional today who is looking for a life partner, in the name that is above every other name, your wedding bells will ring soon. All that loneliness will be over soon in the mighty name of Jesus. David was one man who experienced loneliness. He was left all alone at the backside of the desert. The only company he had was sheep. When the national prophet visited his town and told his father to bring all his sons, nobody remembered to bring David, but he was eventually anointed by Prophet Samuel and straightaway, the yoke of loneliness in his life was destroyed permanently. (1 Samuel 16:11-13).

David was alone in the desert for many years, but he did not take that as an excuse to misbehave, after all, nobody could see him there. He did not decide to commit suicide. I want to encourage you: the time of loneliness is not a time to destroy or terminate your future. The anointing that will end the loneliness is coming; when it arrives, will it find you waiting faithfully on God?

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1. He probably wrote that psalm while still a shepherd. He built his battle skills in that time and ended up winning a war for his nation. You need to realize that loneliness is only a phase, not the destination. God will put an end to every form of loneliness in your life, in the mighty name of Jesus. Use the time of loneliness to build up yourself and your skills. It will pay off in the future.

PRAYER POINT:

LORD, I receive power to turn my moment of loneliness to asset of waiting  on you until I am made perfect in Jesus name.

ii. I give no room for the devil to exploit me in my time of loneliness.

iii. I shall not be destroyed nor be stopped by the enemies in Jesus name.

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR GOD?

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 28TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC : WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR GOD?

MEMORIZE: “Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.” 1 Samuel 12:24

SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 19:16-22

16.  And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17.  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18.  He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19.  Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20.  The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21.  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22.  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

EXPOSITION:

You know that you have met the black sheep of a home when you see a person who only cares about what he/she can get from the family. Good children, no matter how wealthy the family is, are more interested in increasing the family's wealth. Black sheep exist in Gods family too. They only care about what they can get from God and never bother about what they can give to Him. They show up when the Pastor wants to pray for business growth but are absent during evangelism. Thankfully, God also has many children who are committed to giving all to Him, hungry to make Him happy every day. To which category do you belong? Always check to see if God needs anything to be done. Ask your Pastor how you can be of service to God. Organize seminars, evangelisms, Bible Study meetings, invite speakers to teach the people more about the Bible, raise ideas on how the Church can grow. Become obsessed with doing something for God. Mordecai told Esther: “and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14. Whatever position you occupy - in the Church or secularly, always seek an opportunity to do something for God through it. Whatever it is you have  professional network, money, influence or physical strength, let your thoughts always be How can I use this to advance the kingdom of God?

The child who is always thinking about giving to the family rather than receiving is the one who will enjoy the best the father of the home has to offer. David was always thinking of what he could do for God. Even when God told him not to build His temple, he provided all that was needed for it. God blessed him so much that he had all he ever wanted, and even more. If you are constantly thinking of what you can do for God, He will pour the best blessings upon you. Those who always offer acceptable service to God never lack any good thing. From now, commit to doing things that would make God happy.

PRAYER POINT

LORD, I receive grace and power to please you in all my endeavors in Jesus name.

THE POWER OF DEDICATION

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SUNDAY, 27TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC: THE POWER OF DEDICATION.

MEMORISE: " If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. (2nd Timothy 2:2)

SCRIPTURE READING:  2nd Timothy 2:19-21 (KJV)

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”

EXPOSITION:

“…Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:2). So many people take dedication for granted and this is because they don’t understand the power behind it. When you dedicate an object, it becomes the possession and responsibility of who it is dedicated to. This is why you must dedicate your children or property to God alone. It could be very risky to wait several years before handing your children over to God. It doesn’t necessarily require a party; you could just take them to Church and let the Pastor dedicate them officially. If you have to, you can celebrate later.

I heard the story of a woman who had three daughters with the youngest approaching age thirty, yet none of them was in a relationship, let alone marriage. The matter was taken to a notable man of God, as he was about to pray, the Lord urged him to ask their mother certain questions. She eventually confessed that all three daughters had been dedicated to Ifa (A West African deity) when they were born, claiming it was to protect them from witches and wizards. They broke the covenant and rededicated the ladies to God. That same year, all three got married.

Some marriages remain fruitless because someone poured libation during the traditional wedding ceremony. This is why we advocate that the Church wedding must be done after the traditional, so any such strange spirit that may have been invited into the union, whether with or without the knowledge of the couple can be expelled.

Some businesses have been possessed by one demon or the other because a ‘well-wisher’ invoked a contrary spirit at the opening ceremony. You must never allow such. There is nothing the devil is involved in that ever ends well. From now, dedicate everything that is yours to God.

PRAYER POINT:

Mention and/or touch everything that is of value to you and dedicate it to the Most High God now in the name of Jesus Christ.

HIS ARMS ARE WIDE OPEN

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 26TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC :  HIS ARMS ARE WIDE OPEN

Memory Verse: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 15:11-32

11.  And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

EXPOSITION:

If you extend your hand to someone for a handshake, the person would most likely decline if his/her hands are dirty. Naturally, humans avoid staining clean people. However, God does not operate that way. He is willing to give you a hug even when you are dirty. The father of the prodigal son for example, did not ask him to take a bath before he could embrace him. He saw his son from afar and ran to meet him (Luke 15:11-32 ). The woman with the issue of blood had been bleeding for twelve years. She may have been smelly, the doctors might have taken all her earnings and left her wearing rags but she chose to touch Jesus - the One everyone was celebrating. Considering her state, ordinarily, she may not have wanted to come close, but she did! She probably felt too dirty to speak, so she decided to just touch the hem of His garment. She did not stay away totally because she was dirty. She made the move and He did not reject her; He even prayed for her (Luke 8:43-48 ). The countless sins you have committed  stealing, adultery, fornication, or even murder may make you feel dirty. So, you may think God cannot accept you anymore. Listen, He is waiting for you to take just one step towards Him. There is no sin too big for the blood of Jesus to cleanse, neither is there any sinner too guilty for Him to forgive. You might not be able to pray unhindered if you are still feeling dirty. In this case, you have to first pray for forgiveness. All He needs is genuine repentance and He will do the rest.

It Is written, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you...  James 4:8” All He requires is that you take a step towards Him and He will do the rest. Even if you have entered into a covenant with the devil and sold your soul to him, God is able to help you. He remains the same; He still sets the lawful captives free (Isaiah 49:24-46 ). His arms are still wide open, come to Him now when He is near (Isaiah 55:6). Don't wait until it would be too late.

Spread the good news of Gods unconditional love and if you have sinned, come to Him as you are and repent from your sincerely. His arms are still wide open.

PRAYER POINT

Lord, help all the backsliders and erring believers to come back to you in genuine repentance in Jesus name.

MARITAL PARTNERSHIP WITH ENEMY IS DEADLY

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 25TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC: MARITAL PARTNERSHIP WITH ENEMY IS DEADLY

MEMORIZE:  “Then his father and mother said to him, "Is there no woman among the daughters of your brethren, or among all my people, that you must go and get a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?" And Samson said to his father, "Get her for me, for she pleases me well." Judges 14:3.

SCRIPTURE READING: Judges 16:4-21.

EXPOSITION:

Your spouse is a key success factor in your life. Don’t make mistake in marrying a wrong guy/girl. Material possession and beauty or stature are all deceitful. The fear of God in a man/woman should be our primary quality to look for in anyone to marry. Marriage is a life contract between two matured lovers. Yet no one knows what lies ahead of the journey because it is the journey in which we receive certificate before its commencement. It is like a book that you don’t know all its contents until you gradually read through it.

Choosing wrongly makes you a candidate of sorrow and unfulfilled living except you can pray your way through. Because nothing prayer cannot do, though it might take perseverance. If you marry an unbeliever, a pretending Church goer, deceiver, etc You already have devil as your father-in-law. Many times he will be visiting your home uninvited. Samson married Delilah, it invited the lords of the Philistines into their home for negotiation of his life and destiny. Don’t marry any less than a confirmed child of God – not church goer or unbeliever.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, help our youths to not compromise their godly legacy and righteousness by marrying unbeliever or backslider in Jesus Name.

ARE YOU THE JONAH?

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY, 24TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC: ARE YOU THE JONAH?

MEMORIZE:  “Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep.” Jonah 1:5.

SCRIPTURE READING: Jonah 1:1-10.

EXPOSITION:

Friendship is a strong factor to fruitfulness and fulfillment of destiny in life. We factually can do nothing successfully in life without blessed contributions or influence of good friend. As long as this earth is remains, association and dissociation will never cease.

Jonah was an example of bad company to those people he journeyed with unto Tarshish, due to his disobedience to God. God raised storm against them and they lost everything that was the essence of their travelling – just because they journey with an enemy of God. They were victims of lost because none of them know the true God. Kindly check the life of those you are associating with. Their relationship with you have power to make you or break you.

On the other hand, are you a friend of God or His enemy? Why is it that all you lay your hands upon is not receive God’s blessing? Could it be that God is against you? Retrace your way back to God and amend your way. God loves you and desires to bless you but only if you are his child. Don’t journey with an enemy of God – in business, in marriage, in friendship, as tenant or landlord.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, please, separate me from every wrong partner that is drawing me backward in Jesus Name.

PARTNERING WITH GOD’S ENEMY IS SUICIDAL

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 23RD MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC: PARTNERING WITH GOD’S ENEMY IS SUICIDAL

MEMORIZE:  “But Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, "Because you have allied yourself with Ahaziah, the LORD has destroyed your works." Then the ships were wrecked, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish.” 2 Chronicles 20:37.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Kings 22:4, 28-34

EXPOSITION:

God has promised to bless His children and the work of their hands – Deut. 28: . But we  would only experience these blessings when we  obey God and walk in His way. Our obedience is the key to access God’s treasury.

King Jehoshaphat was a child of God, a man who feared God and love Him. While others were growing alliance with their enemies, he always sets himself to seek God whenever enemies rose us against him. 2 Chronicles 20:3 reads “And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.”

But he made a costly mistakes twice in his life and each of it almost costs him his life. He made alliance with enemies of God – first he joined Ahab in battle against the king of Syria – “And the king of Israel said to his servants, "Do you know that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, but we hesitate to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?" So he said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight at Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."” 1 Kings 22:3-4, 29-34. He was lured into wearing his royal apparel as the king. It was divine timely intervention that safe him from death – v. 32. Secondly, he joined business together with Ahaziah, the son of Ahab. They bought the ship together to be going to Tarshish. God saw him as helping his enemy - 2Chronicles 19:2, He therefore caused it to break and unable to reach its destination.

True prosperity comes from God with peace of mind and longevity of days. And it is meant for His children. Partnering with enemy is suicidal. It can attract lose and wasting. What is the impact of your business associates upon your life and destiny. Are your business partners on the Lord’s side or the enemies of God? If they don’t have regard for God, they will never regard you. If they can cheat on God on tithes and vows, they will surely cheat you on your benefits. Be careful! Don’t journey with Jonah!!!

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, separate me from every partner that is capable of destroying my destiny in Jesus name.

THE HEART OF A TRUE LEADER

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 22ND MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: THE HEART OF A TRUE LEADER

MEMORIZE:  "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." Mark 10:45.

SCRIPTURE READING: Mark 10:42-45

EXPOSITION:

A leader is the servant of all. He is God’s minister to the people. He must not rule the people but serve them. He must consider the need of the people. He is a man of good reputation, a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Christ like, firm and fearless. He must be able to stick to the truth, and not be too feeble to bend under pressure. He must not turn the heart of the people away from God.

He must be calm, friendly, and humble. He must not make the church like a military camp where the members of the church are not free or have easy access to him. His followers must not be afraid of him or found it very difficult to approach him whenever they err from the truth. He must jealously guides the sheep (followers) from wolves (the false teachers/ dictators).

A leader must be kind, full of the fruit of the spirit, vigilant, meek, sober, and exercise faith. No matter how the Holy Spirit is using him, he must remain humble. A leader must be smart, hardworking, and honest. A leader is the man who has the vision and mission of lifting burdens out of his followers.

WAR IN HEAVEN - Part 3

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 21ST MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: WAR IN HEAVEN – Part 3

(The Dragon Persecutes The Church.)

MEMORIZE: “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”” Revelation 12:10.

SCRIPTURE READING: Revelation 12: 12-17

EXPOSITION:

The church and all her friends might well be called to praise God for deliverance from pagan persecution, though other troubles awaited her. The wilderness is a desolate place, and full of serpents and scorpions, uncomfortable and destitute of provisions; yet a place of safety, as well as where one might be alone. But being thus retired could not protect the woman. The flood of water is explained by many to mean the invasions of barbarians, by which the western empire was overwhelmed; for the heathen encouraged their attacks, in the hope of destroying Christianity. But ungodly men, for their worldly interests, protected the church amidst these tumults, and the overthrow of the empire did not help the cause of idolatry. Or, this may be meant of a flood of error, by which the church of God was in danger of being overwhelmed and carried away. The devil, defeated in his designs upon the church, turns his rage against persons and places. Being faithful to God and Christ, in doctrine, worship, and practice, exposes to the rage of Satan; and will do so till the last enemy shall be destroyed.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, let me experience the victory you have given to your Church over satan and his attacks in Jesus name.

WAR IN HEAVEN - Part 2

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SUNDAY, 20TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: WAR IN HEAVEN – Part 2

(Michael and his angels fight against the devil and his angels, who are defeated.)

MEMORIZE: “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”” Revelation 12:10.

SCRIPTURE READING: Revelation 12:7-12

EXPOSITION:

The attempts of the dragon proved unsuccessful against the church, and fatal to his own interests. The seat of this war was in heaven; in the church of Christ, the kingdom of heaven on earth. The parties were Christ, the great Angel of the covenant, and his faithful followers; and Satan and his instruments. The strength of the church is in having the Lord Jesus for the Captain of their salvation. Pagan idolatry, which was the worship of devils, was cast out of the empire by the spreading of Christianity. The salvation and strength of the church, are only to be ascribed to the King and Head of the church. The conquered enemy hates the presence of God, yet he is willing to appear there, to accuse the people of God. Let us take heed that we give him no cause to accuse us; and that, when we have sinned, we go before the Lord, condemn ourselves, and commit our cause to Christ as our Advocate. The servants of God overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb, as the cause. By the word of their testimony: the powerful preaching of the gospel is mighty, through God, to pull down strong holds. By their courage and patience in sufferings: they loved not their lives so well but they could lay them down in Christ's cause. These were the warriors and the weapons by which Christianity overthrew the power of pagan idolatry; and if Christians had continued to fight with these weapons, and such as these, their victories would have been more numerous and glorious, and the effects more lasting. The redeemed overcame by a simple reliance on the blood of Christ, as the only ground of their hopes. In this we must be like them. We must not blend any thing else with this.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, let me experience the victory you have given to your Church over satan and his attacks in Jesus name.

WAR IN HEAVEN - Part 1

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 19TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: WAR IN HEAVEN – Part 1

(A Description Of The Church Of Christ And Of Satan)

MEMORIZE: “Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.” Revelation 12:1.

SCRIPTURE READING: Revelation 12:1-6

EXPOSITION:

A description of the church of Christ and of Satan, under the figures of a woman and of a great red dragon. The church, under the emblem of a woman, the mother of believers, was seen by the apostle in vision, in heaven. She was clothed with the sun, justified, sanctified, and shining by union with Christ, the Sun of Righteousness. The moon was under her feet; she was superior to the reflected and feebler light of the revelation made by Moses. Having on her head a crown of twelve stars; the doctrine of the gospel, preached by the twelve apostles, is a crown of glory to all true believers. As in pain to bring forth a holy family; desirous that the conviction of sinners might end in their conversion. A dragon is a known emblem of Satan, and his chief agents, or those who govern for him on earth, at that time the pagan empire of Rome, the city built upon seven hills. As having ten horns, divided into ten kingdoms. Having seven crowns, representing seven forms of government. As drawing with his tail a third part of the stars in heaven, and casting them down to the earth; persecuting and seducing the ministers and teachers. As watchful to crush the Christian religion; but in spite of the opposition of enemies, the church brought forth a manly issue of true and faithful professors, in whom Christ was truly formed anew; even the mystery of Christ, that Son of God who should rule the nations, and in whose right hand his members partake the same glory. This blessed offspring was protected of God.

Therefore, no matter what you are passing through, God is on your side. He will protect you. Devil is not in any way a friend of God and/or of anyone godly. Whatever aggression he is releasing against you, it is for a moment, your victory is sure in Christ. You will soon laugh for joy of victory.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, let me experience the victory you have given to your Church over satan and his attacks in Jesus name.

MORNING WITHOUT SHADOW

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 18TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: MORNING WITHOUT SHADOW

MEMORIZE: “Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).”

SCRIPTURE READING: Revelation 21:23-27.

23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

EXPOSITION:

God created Sun, moon and stars to give light to the earth planet both in the day and at night. This is to make boundary between day and night. This helps in counting days and nights. It was beautiful and very good when God later accessed it – Genesis 1:31. But sin got everything polluted that God have decided to put an end to this world and the elements therein. He has prepared a day that He would destroy this world with fire and great heat. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?” 2 Peter 3:10,12

Therefore, “9. the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 11. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless” 2 Peter 3:9, 11, 13-14.

“But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” Hebrews 11:16.

The New Heaven and new Earth shall be without sun or moon. Therefore, there shall not be night there. It shall be morning all through, this is the reason why it is called eternity. It is morning therefore be morning without shadow. It shall be cool moment, full of God’s presence and glory. Do all you can to be there forever. To be qualified, your name MUST be WRITTEN in the book of Life through your personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, let not your death go in vain over my life. Count me and my family worthy of your kingdom at last in Jesus name.

GIVE AND GATHER

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY, 17TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: "GIVE" & "GATHER"

MEMORIZE: "That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good." Psalm 104:28.

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 104:27-28.

EXPOSITION:

Do you notice the two words, "give" & "gather"? Giving is the power of God to satisfy the hungry desires of men. Receiving is man's responsibility to get his desires satisfied by God through faith in Him. In His greatness, when He opens His hand to give to man, it will be so great that what man can't just receive it but to gather it for multitude. He will satisfy your desire today In Jesus' Name. Amen.

In that Psalm 104:27 it is written, "All these wait on you" signifying the people are many, and no one went back home hungry or disappointed. This is talking of His superabundant in meeting the needs of the world. He says, as many that come to Him, He will not cast away. If at all your sins had separated you from Him, His mercy will still speak for you if you can sincerely sorry for your past misdeeds & repent from it. If He can forgave his enemies even when they were still molesting him & about to crucify him, how will he not forgive you, you that he died to redeem from eternal prison of the devil.

Who is that unfailing helper of destiny? Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." God is the only unfailing help we have. He is never die helper by virtue of His immortality. He is available to all generations across the globe to help as many that will call for His help. He will not just assume you need Him unless you call for His help. God says in Jeremiah 33:3 that, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Calling unto Him is a major condition for receiving His intervention.

In Gen. 21:14-19, “And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. 15. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. 16. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. 17. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. 18. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. 19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” But before you can call Him, you must first trust & rely on His ability. This will ushers you into developing lasting relationship with Him and enjoy His best.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I trust in you, satisfy al my desire to the glory of God.

YOU SHALL BE TESTED BEFORE GLORIFICATION – Part 3

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 16TH MARCH, 2022

YOU SHALL BE TESTED BEFORE GLORIFICATION – Part 3

MEMORIZE: “But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, that she caught him by his garment, saying, "Lie with me." But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.".” Genesis 39:11-12.

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 39:7-12.

EXPOSITION:

Another example of test before glorification is Joseph. Joseph was a god-fearing person. His master’s wife fell in love with him and wanted to have canal knowledge with him. What others called “fun” Joseph called “this great wickedness”. What others called enjoyment was what Joseph called “sin against God.” The test of your faithfulness is always done while in privacy. Reuben failed this test and could not attain greatness. At the time of blessing, his father decreed: “thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.” Genesis 49:3.

But Joseph will not fall into that trap. He ran away from sin of fornication. Though it earned him imprisonment for years, yet it was regarded as his testing time. When his time of glory comes, God remembered him, brought him out of the prison and made him the prime minister in Egypt. He lived in prosperity for the rest of his life.

You will be tested and approved before you can be promoted into glory. Men of old that we are celebrating today were all tested at one time to another and prevailed. Some who failed their test paid seriously for their failure. You may be where nobody knows you as to monitor you, but you must remember God is there with you. The fear of God in you will not let you deceive yourself. Reuben regret his foolish action later while Joseph appreciate God at the end. Don’t fail your test in the matter of sex and immorality.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, help me to resist every sexual temptation and every trap by the heroes fell in Jesus name.

YOU SHALL BE TESTED BEFORE GLORIFICATION - Part 2

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 15TH MARCH, 2022

YOU SHALL BE TESTED BEFORE GLORIFICATION – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.” 2 Kings 2:6.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Kings 2:1-14.

EXPOSITION:

“And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.” 1 Kings 19:3. That was Elijah and his first servant. When he was running away from Jezebel, he asked his servant to stay in Beersheba of Judah and he obeyed. He never see that will be his end in the ministry. He supposed to be replacement to Elijah but he couldn’t because he did not see his master again. He failed his test. The same test was given to Elisha years later, but he was sensitive and would not stop following his master to wherever he goes. This enabled him to succeed his master, Elijah.

What is your relationship with your boss? You are expected to succeed your boss, but are you not a supplanter under his/her? Are disobedient to the leadership of your boss? Desist from it. Your relationship with your boss is a test for you, your greatness depends on how wisely you handle your relationship.

Spiritual sensitivity or discernment is a vital key for you not to be misled in life. Elijah told his first servant to stay behind and wait for him. He obeyed and never see him again. Elisha will not stay behind waiting for him, and succeeded him with double portion of his spirit.

The house of Rechabites will never disobeyed the instruction of their forefathers even when God was trying their faithfulness and obedience in disguise. If you are not sensitive, you might fail most especially when they hear it is from the Lord. Don’t fail your test because glory lies ahead of you. But if you fail, not everyone who failed was given second chance. Not everyone who failed live to succeed in life. Be wise.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, make me sensitive whenever my trial will come so as not to fail you in Jesus name.

YOU SHALL BE TESTED BEFORE GLORIFICATION – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.”1 Samuel 1:15-16.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Samuel 1:9-18

EXPOSITION:

Test is a way of knowing one’s ability to do thing or quality of life. Without examination for student, there cannot be promotion. No one got God’s approval for life in ministry with thorough examination called test/temptation. Hannah was barren for the number of unspecified years till her loving husband was moved to married another wife, Peninah, till she gave birth to many children. Peninah became a sore adversary to Hannah, vexing her to sore everyday. She should have giving up praying but her faith and trust in God would not let her.

On a special day, it looks like it used to be everyday but it was special. God have decided to answer her prayer that day. But she must be tested. The examiner came out in person of Eli, the high priest, and he misunderstood the pains and affliction of her barrenness. He took her for drunker and rebuked her. But thank God, she passed the test… She humbly said, "No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. "Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now." 1 Samuel 1:15-16. After her soft explanation, Eli blessed her and said, "Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him." 1 Samuel 1:17. In response to Eli’s blessing, Hannah said, "Let your maidservant find favor in your sight." So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” 1 Samuel 1:18. God remembered her and she conceived and bore a son, she named him Samuel - 1 Samuel 1:19-20.

How are relating with your pastors? Are they blessings unto you or curse? Ministers of God may not know your pain, instead of insulting them, you have responsibility of explaining your pain to them the way they will understand you. Only God knows how many lives have been ruined in the hands of angry pastors/prophets because they insulted them (the ministers). Ministers are blessing to the Church and even to the world at large, but mishandled relationship can make them so dangerous. Learn to relate well so as to unlock the riches of wealth imbedded in them for your life and family.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, help me to see you in all my situation and not to fail you in Jesus name.

PROPER DRESSING IS PROPER PROTECTION

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SUNDAY, 13TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

TOPIC: PROPER DRESSING IS PROPER PROTECTION

MEMORISE:  Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them_ (Genesis 3:21).

SCRIPTURE READING: Zephaniah 1:1-9.

EXPOSITION:

God created every creature with its own peculiar nature. Sea is good for the fish and other aquatic mammals. Therefore, He puts them there. Air is space, airy and free for the birds, He created them with feathers to fly in the space. Forest is good for other animals such as lions, tigers, antelopes and many others, and God put them there. All these places serve as their protective places.

When it comes to the turn of man, He created man in His image and likeness. He covered man with His glory and communicable attributes. Such communicable attributes include, love, peace, joy, life, forgiveness, reasoning, uses of language and so on. When you see yourself as an image of God, how do you feel? You know that you are different from animals. You are the crown of God’s creation and creatures. An animal, such as cat for example, never exposes itself: it never defecates when any man is around and it never mates with opposite sex in the open. It covers itself always. But dogs are not like that. Dogs today are symbol of sexual promiscuity. Also, goats are never like that. Goats are symbols of disobedience before God.

One way you should appreciate the fact that you are an image of God is through proper dressing. Proper dressing on you is a divine protection for you. It beautifies the physical glory of God in you. It also colourises the biological adornment of God over you. It is even a mark of humility in you (Gen. 26:65). When you properly dress up, you are protecting your body, glory and honouring God. Proper dressing is a proper protection (1 Tim. 2:9-10). Half nakedness, sensual nakedness, complete nakedness and exposure of sensitive parts of our body are disgrace to the living God who commands us to worship Him in the beauty of holiness. Do not dress for Satan; dress for God.

PRAYER POINTS:

i. Thank you Father for proper understanding in your Word. Lord, I recover my lost glory and protection back today from where I have exposed them to improper dressing.

ii. My God, my Father, I promise You that henceforth I will properly dress up before You.

BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT?

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 12TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT?

MEMORIZE: “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise”- Ephesians 1:13.

SCRIPTURE READING: Act 2:1-4

EXPOSITION:

To remain in tune with Jesus Christ requires the help of the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. You need His help because He is the only one who can grant you access to the thoughts and workings of the Lord at any point in time. In Acts 1:8, Jesus said to us: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

We see from these words of the Master that the Christian life is only empowered by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, so it amazes me when any Christian organization refuses to embrace the doctrine of baptism in the Holy Spirit. The truth is that you cannot be a lasting Christian without experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit, neither can you effectively do the work of the ministry without this experience. This is why Jesus instructed the early disciples to wait for the promise of the Father before proceeding to evangelize the world (Acts 1:4-5).

There are some points about the Holy Spirit that are worthy of note in today’s memory verse. One of these is that salvation comes before baptism in the Holy Spirit. Although these two experiences may follow each other almost immediately, you cannot be baptized in the Holy Spirit if you are not first born again by accepting the gospel of truth and salvation. The benefits of being baptized in the Holy Spirit are numerous, one of which is that your salvation is sealed to the end, provided you do not grieve the Holy Spirit to the extent of Him leaving you alone (Ephesians 4:30). Another benefit is the renewing of your body, soul and spirit by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:11, Titus 3:5). As we journey through life, a lot of issues confront us daily, discouraging, nauseating or even defiling us. It is a blessing to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, who renews and encourages us to forge ahead. Beloved, have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit? If not, you can be baptized right now as you read this. All you need to do is ask the Lord to baptize you with His Holy Spirit and believe that He will. Regardless of whether your church believes this truth or not, because it is the word of God, it will become reality in your life today if you receive it.

ACTION POINT:

i. If you have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit, ask Jesus to baptize you today.

ii. If you have experienced this, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you anew right now.

THE HELPERS OF EGYPT SHALL FALL

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 11TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: THE HELPERS OF EGYPT SHALL FALL

MEMORISE: Thus says the LORD: "Those who uphold Egypt shall fall, And the pride of her power shall come down. From Migdol to Syene Those within her shall fall by the sword," Says the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 30:6.

SCRIPTURE READING: Ezekiel 30:6-9

“6 'Thus says the LORD: "Those who uphold Egypt shall fall, And the pride of her power shall come down. From Migdol to Syene Those within her shall fall by the sword," Says the Lord GOD. 7 "They shall be desolate in the midst of the desolate countries, And her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are laid waste. 8 Then they will know that I am the LORD, When I have set a fire in Egypt And all her helpers are destroyed. 9 On that day messengers shall go forth from Me in ships To make the careless Ethiopians afraid, And great anguish shall come upon them, As on the day of Egypt; For indeed it is coming!"

EXPOSITION:

God loves His children, most especially the obedient. He will do anything to protect them. In the book of Ezekiel, chapter 30:6-9, the word of God declared that the prophecy of the destruction of Egypt is very full. Therefore, those who take their lot with God's enemies, shall be with them in punishment. The king of Babylon and his army shall be instruments of this destruction. God often makes one wicked man a scourge to another. No place in the land of Egypt shall escape the fury of the Chaldeans. The Lord is known by the judgments he executes. Yet these are only present effects of the Divine displeasure, not worthy of our fear, compared with the wrath to come, from which Jesus delivers his people.

God is warning you and I not to join hands together with His enemies. Fighting against God and His course can never end in joy. On the other hand, those who joined hands together with the enemy shall not go unpunished. Don’t be enemy to another person’s destiny. And those who declared themselves to be your enemies and their helpers shall not go unpunished. It is written in the word of God, Isaiah 54:15 "Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake."

Surely, your enemies and their helpers shall fall for your sake and you shall maintain your peace .

PRAYER POINT

Lord, assign enemies against my enemies and give me peace round about in Jesus name.

TOTAL RECOVERY

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY, 10TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: TOTAL RECOVERY

MEMORIZE: “So the king answered and said, "Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him; she is his mother." 1 Kings 3:27

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Kings 3:16-27.

Recovery is an act of returning to the original state. It is regaining or saving something lost (or in danger of becoming lost). From the story of the two harlots in our today’s scriptural reading, we discovered that no one else could help the rightful owner of the living baby to recover her baby, because no one knows which one was her child before the incidence. But God through Solomon searched out who is the owner and restored her baby back unto her without anyone to query the judgment.

But before she could recover, she took some steps that led to her victorious recovery,

i. she discovered no one can help her at that time except an higher authority – the king.

ii. She cried to the king for intervention.

iii. She trusted in the judgment of the king.

iv. She presented the matter accurately to help the king understands the hidden matters.

Dear blessed reader, You must acknowledge God as the King who has authority to command your restoration. You must also cry to God for timely intervention and trust His judgment that it shall be true and be favourable. Tell Him the truth about your hidden life. He will vindicate you and bring you total recovery. May you experience God’s favour today and always in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I receive God’s favour for total recovery of all my lost fortunes and of all my denied blessings in Jesus name.

WHEN MEN SLEPT...

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 9TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: WHEN MEN SLEPT

MEMORIZE: “but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.” Matthew 13:25.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Kings 3:16-27.

Night sleep in naturally designed by God to refresh our strength; but, whether in the day or at night, sleeping is not only signal for regaining strength and refreshing our health, on the other hand, it is a symbol of being unconscious of what happened around you. The two harlots in our Scripture reading today, we discovered that it was while they were sleeping that one unconsciously slept over her own baby, who she loves dearly. This brought her unto loss. At the same, it was the same that she woke up and carried the baby of the other woman and replaced it with the dead child of her own. The argument about the rightful owner of the living was what brought them to the presence of the king. Enemies of our souls are always busy working at night, most especially when men slept, that he is exchanging and destroying destinies.

In Matthew 13:25, “but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.” The word of God admonishes us to stay awake because we are not children of darkness as to be living in sin. 1 Thessalonians 5:5-8 read “5. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.”

We must stay alert and take dominion of our lives and our immediate environment through spiritual awakening. Devil takes over when he knows we are ignorant of his devices. Don’t be spiritually insensitive as to allow the devil to rule your life for you. Hand over your life unto Jesus and obey Him. The way God used Solomon to fight for the rightful owner of the living child, the way God will fight for you and restore back to you all your fortunes you have lost into the hands of the devil and the wicked world in Jesus Name.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I receive grace and power to profit God’s kingdom with all I am and have in Jesus name.

YOU ARE MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 8TH MARCH, 2022

YOU ARE MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD

(Today is International Women Day)

MEMORIZE: “She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.” — Proverbs 3:15 (NKJV)

SCRIPTURE READING: Proverbs 3:14-17.

EXPOSITION:

Two young ladies arrived at a meeting wearing clothes that were quite revealing. The chairman took a good look at them, made them sit down, and had a talk with them that they may never forget. He looked them straight in the eyes and said:

“Ladies, everything that God made valuable in this world is well covered and hard to see, find, or get. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down in the ground covered up and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine covered up with layers of rock. To get them you have to work hard and dig deep down to get them. He then looked at these young ladies with serious eyes and said:

“Your body is sacred and unique. You are far more precious than gold, diamonds, and pearls therefore should also be covered. If you keep your treasured minerals deeply covered up just like gold, diamonds, and pearls, a reputable mining organization with requisite machinery will fly down and conduct years of extensive exploration. First, they will contact your government (family), sign professional contracts (wedding), and mine you professionally (legal marriage). But if you leave your precious materials uncovered on the surface of the earth, you will attract a lot of illegal miners to come and mine you illegally. Everyone will just pick up their crude instruments and just have a dig on you freely. Keep your bodies deeply covered so that it will invite professional miners to chase you”

Therefore, Let us encourage our wives, friends, daughters, and nieces to always dress well and decent because they are more precious than gold, diamond, and pearls. Their value is more precious than rubies.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I desire happy and peaceful home, help my family to do what it takes to have happy home in Jesus name.

LEARN TO PROFIT GOD'S WAY

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 7TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: LEARN TO PROFIT GOD’S WAY

MEMORIZE: “His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'” Matthew 25:21.

SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 25:14-30.

EXPOSITION:

God wants His people to prosper. There is, however, one aspect of prosperity that I feel believers must take advantage of. Besides prospering mentally, physically and socially, Christians have a right to succeed financially as entrepreneurs. God's best for us does not include going from one job to the other, or living from paycheck to paycheck. Working for someone else for the rest of our lives is not the ultimate experience.

Owning corporations is a part of our destiny as believers. Think of the worldwide impact we will make once we take over the major industries of the world: telecommunications, real estate, computer technology, publishing, etc. God is strategically positioning believers in places of authority to prepare us for a global shifting of power out of the world's hands and into ours. His goal is to positions where we can directly affect the lives of millions. The plan is to get as many people born again as possible.

Many people only think of Jesus as the Saviour of the world. In my opinion, He is also ultimate corporate executive. In fact, He owned a successful carpentry business while on earth (Mark 6:3). As a minister, I admire Jesus' excellent ability to organize crusades and minister the gospel to multitudes of people. He made a tremendous impact on the world in the short span of three years. Talk about a true world changer! Use every opportunity and resources you have to profit God’s kingdom. You are there today and you must make impact or else you will later regret you did not.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I receive grace and power to profit God’s kingdom with all I am and have in Jesus name.

WHEN I SHUT HEAVEN THAT IT SHOULD NOT RAIN

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

SATURDAY, 5TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: WHEN I SHUT HEAVEN THAT IT SHOULD NOT RAIN

MEMORIZE: “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people” 2 Chronicles 7:13.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.

EXPOSITION:

The anger of God was upon Israel because of their idolatry. Prophet Elijah then declare three and a half years of drought in the whole land of Israel as he said, “As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 Kings 17:1. It is our sins that can make God shut heaven for rain not to fall. Rain is a symbol of blessing, prosperity, freshness, fruitfulness and also of the Holy Spirit empowerment while withholding of it talks of pain and agony as a result of God’s wrath. All the instances whereby God withheld rain in the Bible days had been on the account of our sins.

Deuteronomy 11:16-17 “Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.”

1Kings 8:35 “When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflicts them:”

1Kings 17:7 “And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.”

2 Chronicles 6:26 “When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;”

2 Chronicles 7:13-14 “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”Sin brings affliction and pain. Whenever drought is experienced whether in the physical realm or spiritually, genuine repentance is the antidote. God said, “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:13-14; 1Kings 8:35; 17:7.

When you discover you don’t experience the flow of the Holy Spirit in your relationship with Him again like before, examine yourself, you might have left his presence for worldly things… You need to repent and pray sincerely for reconnection. The world will not be so comfortably habitable without rain. Many flowing rivers will dry up as a result. Likewise in the spiritual realm, sources of blessing and fortunes will dry up if disconnected from God. Retrace your steps back to God today so as to enjoy the fullness of God’s blessings.

PRAYER POINTS:

i. Pray the prayer of repentance wherever you have wronged Him that may have stopped the heavenly rain of blessings in your life in Jesus name.

ii. Lord, open every closed heavens and let them rain comfort and blessings on me in Jesus name.

LOVE: THE KEY THAT RULES HAPPY HOME

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY, 4TH MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: LOVE: THE KEY THAT RULES HAPPY HOME

(Dedicated mainly for the husbands)

MEMORIZE: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.”  Ephesians 5:25.

SCRIPTURE READING: Ephesians 5:25-31.

EXPOSITION:

The divine charge for man in the home is to love his wife. Every woman loves to be loved with practical evidence. When true love is demonstrated from the head, the rest of the family will willingly submit to the leadership of the man who love them. But when love is lacking from the head, rebellion from the wife will naturally set in.The word of God compare the love from the man to his wife to the sacrificial love that exists from Jesus Christ to His Church that made Him died for her. True love involves demonstration (action). Where true love is not been demonstrated, integrity and trust of one’s partner will not be trusted or evident. As a result of this, peace will not reign and joy will not be experienced.

Rebellion is the oldest sins on earth, originated from the devil himself. It is a sin of disobedience to God for man not to love his wife. The end result of it is regret and the pains that accompany it. Our decision and reaction to God’s word will definitely speak of the kind of home we want – whether peaceful or riotous. Walk with God to have godly and peaceful home.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, I desire happy and peaceful home, help my family to do what it takes to have happy home in Jesus name.

PURSUE THE FATHER'S BUSINESS

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY, 3RD MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: PURSUE THE FATHER'S BUSINESS

MEMORIZE: “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” Proverbs 13:22.

SCRIPTURE READING: James 5:1-7.

EXPOSITION:

When Jesus began His earthly ministry to save the world, He chose successful businessmen of high caliber to be His disciples. For example, Peter and Andrew owned a fishing business (Matthew 4:18-40), and Matthew was a tax collector (Matthew 9:9). Once the disciples joined Jesus' ministry, their businesses skyrocketed. They were so prosperous that they were able to travel with Him for over three years without having to close down their business establishment. God's blessing  His empowerment to prosper and succeed in every area of life  was on their lives and businesses. Their association with Jesus was the key to obtaining the blessing that equipped them to get the job done.

Likewise, as an entrepreneur, you have been equipped and given the responsibility of going into the business world to gather your inheritance of wealth. “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deut. 8:18.

Reaching your millionaire status through your businesses and other God-inspired means should be sweatless! Don't rely on your education or current financial status to determine your success in business. Instead, ask God to teach you how to profit His way. It is written in Isaiah 48:17 “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”

The key is to obey Him and allow wisdom to lead you to your place of wealth and prosperity.

“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.” Psalm 66:12

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.” Proverbs 4:7;

Proverbs 8:18

“Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” Eccl. 7:11-12

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5.

Don't be afraid to market your ideas. Doing so may be your ticket to success. It may not seem feasible at this point, but God knows the impact your invention or service will have on society. There is no question that pursuing “God ideas” will lead to your inheritance of wealth. God's goal is to get as many people born again as possible. That's why Christian entrepreneurship is so important in these last days. The wealth that you gather is not for your benefit alone. Use it to please God by gathering lost souls into His kingdom (or family). Therefore, bless others and allow your money to be used for His mission. It is an investment that you won't regret!

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, open my eye of wisdom to profit Your kingdom with my prosperity in Jesus name.

FOR I AM MARRIED TO YOU

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEDNESDAY, 2ND MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: FOR I AM MARRIED UNTO YOU

MEMORIZE: “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:” Jeremiah 3:14

SCRIPTURE READING: Jeremiah 3:12-17

EXPOSITION:

Christ Jesus is joined unto his people in marriage-union. In love he espoused his Church as a chaste virgin, long before she fell under the yoke of bondage. Full of burning affection he toiled, like Jacob for Rachel, until the whole of her purchase-money had been paid, and now, having sought her by his Spirit, and brought her to know and love him, he awaits the glorious hour when their mutual bliss shall be consummated at the marriage-supper of the Lamb.

Not yet hath the glorious Bridegroom presented his betrothed, perfected and complete, before the Majesty of heaven; not yet hath she actually entered upon the enjoyment of her dignities as his wife and queen: she is as yet a wanderer in a world of woe, a dweller in the tents of Kedar; but she is even now the bride, the spouse of Jesus, dear to his heart, precious in his sight, written on his hands, and united with his person. On earth he exercises towards her all the affectionate offices of Husband. He makes rich provision for her wants, pays all her debts, allows her to assume his name, and to share in all his wealth. Nor will he ever act otherwise to her. The word divorce he will never mention, for “He hateth putting away” Death must sever the conjugal tie between the most loving mortals, but it cannot divide the links of this immortal marriage. In heaven they marry not, but are as the angels of God; yet there is this one marvellous exception to the rule, for in Heaven, Christ and his Church shall celebrate their joyous nuptials. This affinity as it is more lasting, so is it more near than earthly wedlock. Let the love of husband be ever so pure and fervent, it is but a faint picture of the flame which burns in the heart of Jesus. Passing all human union is that mystical cleaving unto the Church, for which Christ left his Father, and became one flesh with her.

PRAYER POINT:Lord, may your love in my heart never fade away in Jesus name.

MIRACULOUS RECOVERY

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 1ST MARCH, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: MIRACULOUS RECOVERY

MEMORIZE: And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim. Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.” 2 Kings 6:6-7.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Kings 6:5-7.

EXPOSITION:

“I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. "You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” Joel 2:25-26.

There are people who have lost very precious things in their life such as money, peace, position, value and relevance,… To recover means to find something you once lost.

Example of people who lost something in the Bible and recovered them:

a. The Woman With Issue of Blood (Mark 5:25-34): She lost…

* Her health

* Her wealth (money)

* Her peace

* Her value and dignity

*  Her family, relatives and friends

* Her marriage, etc

But when she met Jesus Christ, she recovered all. You shall recover all that you have lost to your enemies today In Jesus' Name.

b. Samson: Judges 16. He also lost the control of his life to his enemies (the Philistines) through his disobedience. He really suffered for his action. When he repented of his sins, and reconciled himself back to God, he was given victory over his enemies in vengeance of his two eyes that enemies plucked out when they captured him.

c. The Honorable Woman of Shunem: 2Kings 6:1-7. She was prophetically advised to leave Israel to any neighboring country for safety against the coming famine. She obeyed and the stayed for seven years as demanded. But before her arrival, all she had had been taken over by people, but at God's intervention through the king, she recovered all with the arrears of the proceeds for the seven years in which she was away. Our God is faithful always.

d. King Nebuchadnezzar: This king became great and satisfied and thought that his power, wealth and popularity were as a result of his self-made power. He arrogates his success to himself in pride. Seeing this, God humbled him by giving him the heart of animal and lived in the wilderness for seven (7) years. But when he came to his senses, right there in the wilderness, he gave all the glory back unto God. Then he was restored to his throne. “At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives for ever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation;  all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing; and he does according to his will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, "What doest thou?"  At the same time my reason returned to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and splendor returned to me. My counselors and my lords sought me, and I was established in my kingdom, and still more greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.” Daniel 4:34-37.

Steps to Recovery

1. Win God to your side through your personal acquaintance with Jesus Christ.

2. Believe and trust God for your recovery.

3. Daily confess your recovery using the word of God.God can suspend laws and principles in order to do something special He wishes in your life. If you have lost your peace or your destiny to the enemies, all you have lost, God will restore it back to you today In Jesus' Name! Just believe in Him that He is able and ready to do it for you. If you have not given your life to Jesus, give it to Him now. Tomorrow may be too late. Confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your soul and your situation and it must obey God's word. Romans 10:9-10.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, by your mercy, command total recovery of all I have lost In Jesus' Name. Amen!
