Topic: "GIVE" & "GATHER"
MEMORIZE: "That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good." Psalm 104:28.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 104:27-28.
EXPOSITION:
Do you notice the two words, "give" & "gather"? Giving is the power of God to satisfy the hungry desires of men. Receiving is man's responsibility to get his desires satisfied by God through faith in Him. In His greatness, when He opens His hand to give to man, it will be so great that what man can't just receive it but to gather it for multitude. He will satisfy your desire today In Jesus' Name. Amen.
In that Psalm 104:27 it is written, "All these wait on you" signifying the people are many, and no one went back home hungry or disappointed. This is talking of His superabundant in meeting the needs of the world. He says, as many that come to Him, He will not cast away. If at all your sins had separated you from Him, His mercy will still speak for you if you can sincerely sorry for your past misdeeds & repent from it. If He can forgave his enemies even when they were still molesting him & about to crucify him, how will he not forgive you, you that he died to redeem from eternal prison of the devil.
Who is that unfailing helper of destiny? Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." God is the only unfailing help we have. He is never die helper by virtue of His immortality. He is available to all generations across the globe to help as many that will call for His help. He will not just assume you need Him unless you call for His help. God says in Jeremiah 33:3 that, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Calling unto Him is a major condition for receiving His intervention.
In Gen. 21:14-19, “And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. 15. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. 16. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. 17. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. 18. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. 19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” But before you can call Him, you must first trust & rely on His ability. This will ushers you into developing lasting relationship with Him and enjoy His best.
