Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

Topic: MIRACULOUS RECOVERY

MEMORIZE: And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim. Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.” 2 Kings 6:6-7.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Kings 6:5-7.

EXPOSITION:

“I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. "You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” Joel 2:25-26.

There are people who have lost very precious things in their life such as money, peace, position, value and relevance,… To recover means to find something you once lost.

Example of people who lost something in the Bible and recovered them:

a. The Woman With Issue of Blood (Mark 5:25-34): She lost…

* Her health

* Her wealth (money)

* Her peace

* Her value and dignity

*  Her family, relatives and friends

* Her marriage, etc

But when she met Jesus Christ, she recovered all. You shall recover all that you have lost to your enemies today In Jesus' Name.

b. Samson: Judges 16. He also lost the control of his life to his enemies (the Philistines) through his disobedience. He really suffered for his action. When he repented of his sins, and reconciled himself back to God, he was given victory over his enemies in vengeance of his two eyes that enemies plucked out when they captured him.

c. The Honorable Woman of Shunem: 2Kings 6:1-7. She was prophetically advised to leave Israel to any neighboring country for safety against the coming famine. She obeyed and the stayed for seven years as demanded. But before her arrival, all she had had been taken over by people, but at God's intervention through the king, she recovered all with the arrears of the proceeds for the seven years in which she was away. Our God is faithful always.

d. King Nebuchadnezzar: This king became great and satisfied and thought that his power, wealth and popularity were as a result of his self-made power. He arrogates his success to himself in pride. Seeing this, God humbled him by giving him the heart of animal and lived in the wilderness for seven (7) years. But when he came to his senses, right there in the wilderness, he gave all the glory back unto God. Then he was restored to his throne. “At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives for ever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation;  all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing; and he does according to his will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, "What doest thou?"  At the same time my reason returned to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and splendor returned to me. My counselors and my lords sought me, and I was established in my kingdom, and still more greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.” Daniel 4:34-37.

Steps to Recovery

1. Win God to your side through your personal acquaintance with Jesus Christ.

2. Believe and trust God for your recovery.

3. Daily confess your recovery using the word of God.God can suspend laws and principles in order to do something special He wishes in your life. If you have lost your peace or your destiny to the enemies, all you have lost, God will restore it back to you today In Jesus' Name! Just believe in Him that He is able and ready to do it for you. If you have not given your life to Jesus, give it to Him now. Tomorrow may be too late. Confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your soul and your situation and it must obey God's word. Romans 10:9-10.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, by your mercy, command total recovery of all I have lost In Jesus' Name. Amen!
