THE BEGINNING THAT ALL BEGINNINGS BEGAN WITH.

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TUESDAY, 1ST FEBRUARY, 2022

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Topic: THE BEGINNING THAT ALL BEGINNINGS BEGAN WITH

SCRIPTURE READING: John 1:1-4

MEMORIZE: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.

EXPOSITION:

Everything that is existing, whether known or unknown, seen or unseen, named or unnamed, all have the story of their beginning, whether known or not. All of them began with the creator, God, who commanded them to be. He created them all for His pleasure – Revelation 4:11.  He caused them all to be - “Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.” Psalm 148:5. The foundation of the earth was laid, thus it has beginning. The sun, moon, stars and sea were created by God. The heavens and earth have the beginning of their creation –Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:10; John 1:1-4. Angels have the beginning of their creation - Ezekiel 28:14-15; Hebrews 1:7; Psalm 104:4. The night watches has the beginning - Lamentation 2:19; Judges 7:19. Harvest time has beginning - Ruth 1:22; 2Samuel 21:9; The kings have the beginning of their reign - Ezra 4:6; Jer. 26:1; 27:1; 28:149:34. The year has its beginning Ezekiel 40:1. The gospel has beginning - Philippians 4:15.

Only God has no beginning of existence. He is self-existing with no beginning nor ending. He is wonderful, mysterious, beyond finding, unsearchable, yet he is everywhere and knows everything. He is caring and loving; merciful and kind. He knows the end from the beginning. He who knows all beginnings revealed the creation story of the Adamic world to Moses after about 3,000 years. Because He knows all beginnings, He can both guide, protect and provide for all our needs. Let us praise His majesty as He is giving us another opportunity to witness the beginning of another new month. Let’s begin this month with Him in sincere adoration and love towards others. Trust Him for your relevance in His eternal program.

PRAYER POINT:

Appreciate God for all His goodness in your life and also pray for His grace to be relevant in His eternal program.

YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD.

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MONDAY, 31ST JANUARY, 2022

Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Topic: YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD

Memorize: “For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2 Cor. 6:16.

Scripture Reading: 1 Cor.  3:16,17

EXPOSITION:

Before God created the heaven and earth, He has been in eternity past. But after the creation of man, God chose to put His in the temple built and dedicated unto Him. But in the New Testament (Church age), He chose the inner temple of man’s heart as His dwelling place. Therefore, being Holy, He desires that everyone whose heart will be His temple must be sanctified and made holy. He has made blood provision available for our cleansing so as to be habitable for God. Jesus loves you, but not the sins in your heart. Do away with sins, cry unto Jesus Christ for mercy and ask Him to come and live in you, you will then become His temple where He will be living. For He says, “for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2 Cor. 6:16.

Do you desire to be a temple of God, an abode of God Almighty? You must be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. Without cleansing, you will be irritating to Him. Of a truth, before cleansing, you have to come out of your sins like the man in the soak-away. Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour and you will be saved - Romans 10:9-10. When you become the temple of God, you will experience heaven on earth in your heart and home.

Prayer Point:

Lord, I dedicate my heart, soul, spirit and body unto you, make me your temple where you will dwell in Jesus name.

THE TRIAL OF OUR FAITH

SUNDAY, 30TH JANUARY, 2022

Topic: THE TRIAL OF OUR FAITH

MEMORIZE: “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:7.

SCRIPTURE READING: Malachi 3:2-3

Trial is the test of life we face to proof the worth of our trust in God. As Christians, we shall all be tried in one way or the other. Your own trial may be different from mine, we would all experience a level of trial per season. His trial is neither to harm us nor to destroy us. It is to test quality of our love, trust and obedience to our master – Lord Jesus.

REASONS FOR TRIAL OF FAITH: It is meant to,

1. Keep us fit to offer to God in righteousness. Mal. 3:2-3. Let us be able to come to the presence of God whether been rejected or condemned. Psalms 24:3 “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”

2. Prove where we belong; whether we are for God or not. Deuteronomy 8:2 “And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.”

3. Teach us one of the vital lessons of life which cannot be taught otherwise. That is to teach us that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.  Deut. 8:3 “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”

4. Let us be usable for God. As much as He loves and eager to use man for His purpose, He may not be able to use us as we are until some certain orientation, habits, attitudes and lifestyle leaves us. Proverbs 25:4 “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.” 2 Timothy 2:21 “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”

5. Trial is meant to bring out the best in us. It is never programmed to damage us. You cannot probably know a genius until you test all your students. You cannot determine the carat in a scoop of gold dug in the mine till it has passed through the crucible of fire.

6. It is as well to prove to the devil that, in spite of all his assault on mankind and his purported total wrest of creation from God, the Almighty still has His people that will not deny Him come what may. Are you among such people God can vouch for? And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]? Job 1:8. Can this be said of you?

7. To be joint-heirs with Christ we emulate Him in trial. Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities (trial); but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

Allow God to try you, beloved. It is for your good. Every trial of faith is common to all men. What you are going through, someone somewhere is experiencing such or even greater challenges and they are still standing in God. Don't let what you are going through weaken you. Be committed the more unto the living God. Allow Him to wade into your affairs, before long Gods word in Luke 21:13 shall be yours. 'And it shall turn to you for a testimony.' My candid prayer is that no matter our test of life, we shall not fail God in the mighty name of Jesus. Job 23:10 “He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Amen. Shallom!

Prayer Point: Lord God Almighty, as you helped men of old in the days of their trial, hejp me too, not to fail you in my trying moment in Jesus name.

YOUR DEADLY ENEMY

YOUR DEADLY ENEMY

MEEMORIZE: “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14.

SCRIPTURE STUDY: Isaiah 51:11-16.

EXPOSITION:

Many of us, even though we're believers, have seen grief and sorrow as such a natural part of life that we haven't even questioned them. In fact, if we're honest, we'd have to admit there are times when we actually want to feel sad and sorry for ourselves. Why would we choose to feel sorrow? Because sorrow has an emotional kick to it. It offers a surge of feeling that, in the beginning stages, is almost intoxicating. But grief and sorrow are dangerous things. Several years ago God showed me that they're not the innocent emotions we've thought they were. The force behind these emotions are actually spirit beings sent by the devil himself to kill, steal and destroy.

They are a part of the devastating, satanic barrage Jesus took on Himself when He died on the Cross (Isaiah 53). He bore grief and sorrow, so we wouldn't have to. If they come knocking on your door, remember, they are not innocent emotions. They are deadly enemies that Jesus already carried away at Calvary. Don't live as those who have no hope. You're a believer. You know that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again. That not only gives you hope where physical death is concerned, it gives you hope in every situation. Sorrow not!

Prayer Point: Lord, I receive grace and power over grief and sorrow in Jesus name.

Topic: SEND ME THE BOOK

Memorize: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”  Joshua 1:8.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 14:1.

EXPOSITION:

When W. P. Mackay left home for college, his mother gave him a Bible. On the inside cover she wrote his name and a Bible verse. She also said she would pray for him. He graduated with honors from medical school and quickly advanced to become head of the largest hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland. But as he grew more successful, he also grew more wicked and coarse in his life-style. He even became president of an atheistic society.

One day a badly injured man was rushed to the emergency room. As Dr. Mackay examined the hopelessly crushed body, he was amazed by how peaceful the man was. The dying man asked, “What's my condition? I want the truth. I'm not afraid to die. I've trusted Jesus as my Savior. He paid for my sins on the cross. I know I'll be with Jesus when I die. “You have only a few hours to live,” said the doctor. He was surprised that this did not change the dying man's attitude. “Is there anyone we can contact?” “Yes,” said the man. “Contact my landlady and ask her to bring me the book.”

“What book?” Inquired the doctor. “Just ask her for the book. She will know.” The doctor did as the man asked, and then continue his rounds. But these words stuck in his mind: “I know I'll be with Jesus when I die.” A few hours later, Dr. Mackay returned to check on the man's condition. “He died a few minutes ago,” the nurse replied.

“Did he get his book in time?” “Just before he died.”

“Was it his bank?” Asked the doctor. “See for yourself. It's under his pillow.”

Dr. Mackay reached under the pillow and found a Bible. As he removed it, the front cover turned back to reveal his own name, his mother's name and a Bible verse. It was his Bible - the one his mother gave him years ago! He had pawned it for money to buy liquor while on a drinking spree.  The doctor was overwhelmed. He rushed to his office and asked God to forgive him for his sinful life. As he prayed, he remembered a verse his mother taught him long ago: “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Dr. Mackay immediately contacted his mother to tell her of his salvation, and how God used the Bible she gave him to dramatically answer her prayers. In due time, Mackay's life proved that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The worldly, atheistic doctor became a preacher of the gospel!

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

God wants to save you just as He did Dr. Mackay? God “is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Don't suffer in hell for your sins, when Jesus Christ has already taken your punishment. Trust Him and you too will be able to say, “I know I'll be with Jesus when I die.”

Prayer Point:

Lord, I repent of my wasted opportunities to know you or witness of you. Help me henceforth to be faithful to you to the end in Jesus name.

Topic: WHAT A PERFECT HEART AND WILLING MIND ARE…

MEMORIZE: “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Matt. 5:8

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 24:3-4.

EXPOSITION:

Having considered the significances of heart in the place of worship, let us try to examine what a perfect heart and willing mind are:

a. Pure heart  “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Matt. 5:8; “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3-4; “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10.

b. Broken and contrite heart “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” Psalm 51:17.

c. New heart.

How to have and maintain a perfect and a willing mind

a. Daily cleansing of heart “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Heb. 10:22

b. Constant guard of the heart  “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Prov. 4:23

c. Renewing of mind/heart--  “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Rom. 12:2; “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him” Col. 3:10

d. Circumcision of heart “Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.” Jer. 4:4.

Prayer Point:

Lord, give me a sanctified heart and willing mind to have a holy and acceptable relationship with you in Jesus name.

PERFECT HEART AND WILLING MIND - 2

Topic: PERFECT HEART AND WILLING MIND – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever.” 1 Chronicle 28:9.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Chronicles 25:1-2.

EXPOSITION:

Yesterday, we started looking at understanding the place a heart takes in kingdom service. We discussed two points: i. It is a wellspring of life where issues of life come from and ii. It is a centre of devotion. Today we want to consider other remaining points.

c.  It is God's dwelling place  1 Cor. 3:16 “For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?” A human being is the temple of God. God does not dwell in an edifice or building constructed by man. 1 Cor. 6:19 “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Man's body is a temple of God. Man's heart is the holy of holies, where God dwells. He does not dwell in the court of congregation nor does He dwell at the holy place but at the holy of holies. The body is whole temple where the court, holy place and holy of holies reside. Heb. 10:16: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” This is the evidence of a new covenant. Heb. 8:8-11 “For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.”

d. It is the focus of God's word: “And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.” Ezekiel 33:31; Mark 4:13-20.

Prayer point:

Lord, help me to have an acceptable heart to become your dwelling place in Jesus name.

Topic: PERFECT HEART AND WILLING MIND – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever.” 1 Chronicle 28:9.

SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Chronicles 25:1-2.

EXPOSITION:

Prior to the consideration of what perfect and willing heart is, there is need to understand the place a heart takes in kingdom service. The literal meaning of heart shows that it is a centre of the emotions especially love, deepest part of one's nature. And, mind means a way of thinking, feeling, wishing, opinion, intention, and purpose. All these are inhabited in the heart of man. Looking at the biblical point of view, heart is described as:

a. Wellspring of Life (issues of life): “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jer. 17:9. “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Prov. 4:23. Heart is a foundation or sources through which feeling, purpose; intention and numerous thought both positive and negative are processed and oozed out. Mark 7:21-23 “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” From within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts. …deceit emanates from the heart  Acts 5:3.

b. It is a centre of devotion: “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.” 1 Chro. 22:9. The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him  “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” 2 Chro. 16:9. Heart is a target for devotion  “And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.” 2 Chro. 25:2. (other references Heb. 10:16; Exd. 33:31; Deut. 5:29; Isaiah 29:13; Jer. 29:13; Matt. 22:37.

Prayer point:

Lord, give me a perfect heart and willing mind in Jesus name.

GOD IN OUR SITUATIONS - 2

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

MONDAY 24TH JANUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

Topic: GOD IN OUR SITUATIONS – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:2.

SCRIPTURE READING: Numbers 21:8-9.

EXPOSITION:

Our God is love. He chastises us whenever we ere from his love. Yet, He always make way of restoration when we acknowledge our sins and repent from it. When the children of Israel rebelled against God in the wilderness, God sent devouring serpents to torment them. But when they cried to Him through Moses for help, … “Then the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live." So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.” Number 21:8-9. Jesus said concerning his death “…And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:14-15. Who could ever think that deliverance and healing could come in seeing the bronze serpent when beaten by fiery serpent? Or who can imagine that fiery furnace could be turned to air-condition until the Son of God appeared in the furnace fire as the fourth person to rescue Sadrach, Mesach and Abednego thereby turning the proposed victims to celebrity. But before then, they had learnt to see God in every situation they are facing. They saw God's ability and confessed the same until it brought them great deliverance, the act of God that cannot be denied in the history of men -- Daniel 3:16-18, 22-30.

PRAYER POINT:

* Lord, let me see in you in all my life’s situations in Jesus name.

* Pray to God over any challenge you are facing presently. God shall be glorified at last in Jesus name,

 DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of

ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

SUNDAY. 23RD JANUARY, 2022

Topic: GOD IN OUR SITUATIONS – Part 1.

MEMORIZE: “Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” Psalm 4:1

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 21:15-19.

EXPOSITION:

Many had been in the deserts all through their lifetime and could not survive it as they were faced with hunger and thirsty and they became weak and unable to cross over to their promised land. They died together with their great potentials. Hagar was found hooked in that wilderness of life; thirsty and wearied without seeing any way out -- water or streams. She has lost all hope, written herself off, she was waiting for death. So overwhelmed with sorrow, God heard her cry and decided to favour her. A word then came unto her, God opened her eyes, she looked and saw and made use of the provision and was satisfied. She and her son later fulfill their days and destinies on earth.

You must cry unto God for His divine intervention and for His great provision until your voice is heard by Him- "Let me not see the death of the boy." So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.” Gen. 21:17. Only those whose voices were heard shall be visited by God. He will open their eyes to see the provision promised for their lives kept so close that they would not need to be wandering again in search of livelihood and fulfillment. To be a beneficiary of God's abundant provision, it calls for you to see these divine provisions in the strength of God. Seeing is the power for possessing. Only those who can see God in action in their favour shall possess the gates of their enemy and receive from God provision for their healing, recovery, salvation and fulfillment.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord, let mercy speak for me from now henceforth, let my voice be heard before you for your divine attention in Jesus name.

CLAIMING THE OUTBREAK OF STREAMS IN YOUR DESERT

DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE OF ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

SATURDAY. 22ND JANUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

Topic: CLAIMING THE OUTBREAK OF STREAMS IN YOUR DESERT

MEMORIZE: “The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.” Isaiah 43:20.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 43:19-20

EXPOSITION:

Having believed in your heart and received favour from God and seeing with eyes of faith, you need to stretch out your hand in reaching your flourishing destination through these three means:

1.  You can get your waters (streams) break out through the Word of God. “And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:15-16. The word of God is the rod of life with which you shall cross your red sea -- Exodus 14:15-16, 21-22. Through it you can strike the rock in the wilderness to give you water satisfactorily in time of thirsty -- Exodus 17:5-6; Psalm 105:41-42. In the word of God is life that carries power for creation and reformation -- John 1:1-4.

2.  You can break out through effectual prayer -- “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16. Effective fervent prayer of the righteous is always empowered to do the unusual and miraculous things to the glory of God. Learn from Elijah who prayed till heaven opened with heavy down-pour of rain after the drought of three and a half years as he declared -- 1 Kings 18:41-45.

3.  You need anointing that breaks yokes -- “It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah 10:27.

Prayer Point: Lord, let me see in you in all my life’s situations in Jesus name.

* Pray to God over any challenge you are facing presently. God shall be glorified at last in Jesus name,

Topic: RIVERS SHALL BREAK FORTH IN YOUR DESERT

MEMORIZE: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 43:19-20

EXPOSITION:

Wilderness is a large area of land that has never been developed or used for growing crops because it is difficult to live there. While desert is a large area of land that has very little water and very few plants growing there. It is also synonymous to an abandoned area (or life).

Wilderness and desert in the life of man is symbol of dryness, unfavoured life, deserted life, career & destiny, forgotten and abandoned life, unfruitfulness, unpatronized life, uncelebrated life and destiny, unpatriotic life…etc

Water is a symbol of healing and cure to the wounded, new beginning and freshness, glory, fulfillment, celebration, antidote to fire and explosive devices before its explosion …etc.

Functions of water…

It cleanses, it refreshes when drink, it irrigates both life and plants, it gives food for the eater and the seed for the sower -- Isaiah 55:10. It serves as antidote to fire outbreak and bomb devices before its explosion.

Streams in the desert is a symbol of impossibility in the natural world because of its dryness and its location: no forest or cool atmosphere that could call for rivers, yet God says, He will do the impossible for His people, the favoured who hold unto his word till they see the dawn of glory in their lives. But as great as this promise is and true to be trusted, it is not for ALL, it is only meant for those who will believe, be favoured and see. Those who can see with eyes of faith; though not yet happening in the physical realm... The canal men ask for signs, the proofs of evidence before taking the step, but real men stands on the word of God, not minding whether such promised has happened before or not, until they could see its reality in their lives.

Prayer Point

Lord, I receive the eyes of faith to see fruitfulness and greatness beyond the natural in Jesus name.

HAS GOD FAIL ANY OF HIS PROMISES?

 DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of

ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY,  Worldwide.

THURSDAY. 20TH JANUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: HAS GOD EVER FAILED ANY OF HIS PROMISES (WORD)?

MEMORIZE: “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

SCRIPTURE READING: Jeremiah 1:11-12, Isaiah 35:4-7.

EXPOSITION:

God, whose name is Faithful and True (Rev. 19:11; 3:14; 22:6) never make a promise He will not keep. Whatever He promised to do, no matter how hard or impossible, good or evil it might be, must be done. Let's consider His act of faithfulness to His promises in times past:

i. In Genesis 1:3; when God spoke that light should come, was there not light?

ii· In Gen. 6:7-8, when He promised to wipe off Noah's world to start a new race with Noah, was it difficult for Him to do, irrespective of the numbers of lives involved?

iii· Gen. 19:13, 24-28, when He determined to utterly destroy Sodom & Gomorrah in their great numbers, were they too many for Him to wipe out?

iv· In Gen. 12:1-3, when He made the promise to make Abraham great and nations of people, did He fail to do it?

v· In Gen. 37:5-11, when He revealed to Joseph that the sheaves of his brothers together with the sun, moon and eleven stars will come bowing down unto him, did it not come true?

vi· In Exodus 14:15-22, when He was to part the red sea for His people (Israel) to cross to the other side on  dry land, though such a thing has never happened before, was it impossible for Him?

vii· In Luke 1:30-38, when He sent his word to virgin Mary that she will be with child without having canal knowledge of man, even till she weaned her first son (Jesus), was it impossible?

viii· In Matt. 16:18, when He said the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church, with all persecutions and religious wars militating against the Church (Christians) from the days of the Pharisee and the high priests unto the days of Emperor Nero, even till date (with terror and mass killing from Boko Haram and the likes)… Did they prevail against her? NO!!!

Why will you not believe Him now when He says your unfavoured, uncelebrated and unfruitful land (life and family) shall become fertile and bear much fruits and that your desert shall be flowing with waters, milk and honey? He will give you total turn-around and a fulfilled life and destiny both in your life, home and ministry (your career). Are you written off and abandoned in the society or ministry? Are you termed failure and unfruitful? Can you not make an edge no matter how hard you tried? Don't rely on your wisdom or efforts again, but hold and rely on God alone. He never failed. He is faithful to His word; He has spoken and will do it. Isaiah 35: 6 is the personal commitment of God to your case, He will not rest until He has settled you too.

vs. 4-7 is a promise of healing and recovery for the sick and the wounded, the outcast and the fearful.

v. 4 is a promise of courage to the fearful.

v. 5 is a promise of opening of eyes and ears to the blind and the deaf respectively.

v. 6 the lame shall leap and walk as an hart.

v. 6 The tongue of the dumb shall be loosed and shall sing.

v. 6 In the wilderness shall water break out and streams shall spring out in the desert.

v. 7 The parched land shall become a pool and thirsty land shall become springs of water.

Prayer Point:

Lord, I believe you are faithful to your promises, let it be unto me according to your words in Jesus name.

* Make your personal requests know to God for at least five minutes as you trust that He can do it.

GOD OF ALL POSSIBILITIES

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Date: WEDNESDAY. 19th January, 2022

A Devotional Guide of Anchor Of Life & Redemption Ministry, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: GOD OF ALL POSSIBILITIES

MEMORIZE: “Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.” Psalm 84:4-7.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 35:4-10

EXPOSITION:

It takes integrity and faithfulness for a man to firmly stand by his word, whether it is easy to keep or not. Keeping our promises makes us faithful before others. If a man who is not faithful to his word gives a promise, no matter how good, admiring and highly needed it might appear, such a promise will not be counted serious. But if a promise comes from someone who is faithful to his/her word, it will be trusted, not minding how big the promise. Before a promise could be relied upon, it must come from someone who is unbent in fulfilling his/her word. Therefore, the life of a man determined the potency of his promise. It is written, “Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you." Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Isaiah 35:4-7, 10.

Isaiah 35:4-7 is a prophetic promise of God to you signifying His readiness to do the impossible, what men have already termed impossible to their natural senses. God has specializes and has great delight in making the impossible possible. “I AM” is His name. Faithfulness is one of the qualities of God. He is too faithful than to fail those who put their trust/confidence in Him. He is so committed to do what He says He will do. No matter how hard and impossible such matter is to natural senses. God is faithful to do what He says He will do. May you experience God’s wonders in your life today and always.

Prayer Point

Lord, I handover all my impossibilities unto you, help me settle it today in Jesus name.

Lord, make my life a testimony of your timely intervention in Jesus name.

LEAN ON GOD

A DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

TUESDAY. 18th January, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: LEAN ON GOD

MEMORIZE: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5.

SCRIPTURE Reading: 2Chronicles 16:8.

EXPOSITION

To lean on is to rest on someone or something. To lean on someone demand trust and readiness. We must be able to trust such a person and be ready to rely on him/her. But concerning our trust in man, the word of God says, “Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isaiah 2:22. God also said, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10. With this divine assessment, men are not worthy of relying on.

Who then should we rely on? It is God, our Creator and Father. “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.” Psalm 118:8,9. Men do fail when least expected because they are human being and has their limit. But God is unlimited in His ability and readiness to save and deliver. He cares for us and is worthy to be trusted and relied upon. The Psalmist said, “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:3-5.

There is satisfaction and security in relying on God. Jesus said, without Him, we can do nothing. John 15:5. Before you set into any project or fresh idea this year, commit your way into the hand of God; put your trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding. He will establish you and give you good success. When every other thing fail, God never fail. He offer Himself for you and I to lean on Him.

Prayer Point:

Lord, I rely on you for your guidance, security and good success in my life, family and this nation this year in Jesus name.

GOD'S PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE - 3

A DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

MONDAY. 17TH JANUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: GOD'S PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE – Part 3

MEMORIZE: But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Malachi 2:15.

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 1:28

EXPOSITION:

Today, we shall study the third purpose of Marriage in God’s original plan; it is to be fruitful in child bearing to be trained in the fear of God. After creating man, “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 1:28. The blessing of fruitfulness upon men is was results to the present population of the world. Even when God wiped away the world of Noah’s time, He spared Noah and his family for him to start afresh the new world. He still blessed them to be fruitful and multiplied - Genesis 9:1.

Immediately after the fall of man, Adam rename his wife from woman to Eve. “And Adam called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” Genesis 3:20. This narrowed the essence of women in their matrimony to child bearing. Women will be value mostly when bearing children. Any life devoid of blessing of fruitfulness shall be stagnant and not be celebrated. Human’s life’s value is thereby attached to his/her fruitfulness. Up till today, any home that makes God happy receives His blessing that no one can reverse. Make your home heaven on earth through your obedience to God’s laid down principles guiding home, and you shall be blessed tremendously.

Prayer Point:

Lord, help me to daily experience joy in my marital life in Jesus name.

Lord, help the barren to be fruitful  and fulfilled in their marital lives in Jesus name.

GOD'S PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE - 2

A DEVOTIONAL GUIDE of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

SUNDAY 16TH JANUARY,  2022

Topic: THE PURPOSE OF MARRIAGE – Part 2

MEMORIZE: “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Hebrews 13:4.

SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrews 13:4-6.

EXPOSITION:

Today, we are going to look at the second point of the divine purpose of marriage which is sexual satisfaction within one’s marital vow. The word of God says “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Hebrews 13:4. God who created us with desire for canal knowledge has given us way of satisfaction. He would have given Adam many wives if satisfaction is in many wives but He gave him only one. Even Solomon who has multiple wives later confess that “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 1:2; 12:8. “Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 2:17.

Therefore, the word of God ordered us to have satisfaction in whoever He has given to us as husband or wife. Solomon in his wise word wrote by divine inspiration, “Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.” Proverbs 5:15. Whatever is admiring in others outside can be developed in your own spouse and you shall find satisfaction in him/her. On the other hand, we must stop comparing our own spouse with others. We are uniquely different from one another. What is seeing in others may not be in you, but there are several other things that make you unique that are not found in others. Celebrate what you have before you loss it.

Prayer Points:

1. Lord, help me to always find joy and fulfillment in my spouse in Jesus name.

2. Lord, as many couples that are facing hell in their home, help them to overcome it now in Jesus name.

Memorize: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:24.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:21-24.

EXPOSITION:

Purpose is the reason why a thing is established or existing. The purpose of God for establishing home is divided into three points. The first of it is companionship. "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Genesis 2:18. Though the work given to Adam was very enormous, yet God did not give him many women, but one. This shows God disapproves polygamy and the likes. God gave Adam a wife with a large heart to help him fulfill his purpose and mandate on earth. Not a trouble maker or a liability. Not an enemy but a friend, a companion. Someone they can walk together in the journey of life into the same destiny.

A widow was interviewed of what was her experience in the first year of her widowhood. She responded with tear and said, “Life is all about companionship. The first thing I missed in my husband was companionship. No one to talk to or discuss my personal/private matters with. The moment all sympathizers left, I was left with loneliness. I was bored and really missed my companion – my husband.”

You are created by God to be a good companion in building his/her spiritual life, in planning his successful financial life, in fighting the battle of life together, in helping him/her fulfill his/her godly dream, etc. Therefore, as a man/woman in the home, you are not fulfilled if you are not a true companion to your spouse. Your position is vacant if your spouse does not feel your impact. You are made a companion to your spouse, therefore, fulfill your ministry.

Prayer Point:

Lord, help me to fulfill my divine purpose in my home, to make it heaven on earth in Jesus Name.

FORGIVENESS - 2

A Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Date: FRIDAY. 14TH JANUARY, 2022

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

General Overseer

Topic: FORGIVENESS – Part 2

Memorize: “And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.”  Matthew 6:12

Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:12-15.

EXPOSITION

Forgiveness is the key to having lasting relationship. Forgiveness comes from heart of perseverance and tolerance. Where there is no forgiveness, bitterness and anger will be the order of the day. Unforgiveness builds resentment and revenge. It is capable of killing someone or acting wrongly that one will later regret it. Unforgiveness makes us enemies of God because we do not be like God. Our own forgiveness from God is solely anchored on our forgiveness to those who have wronged us. The prayer pattern our Lord Jesus Christ thought us says, “And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.” Luke 11:4. He further said, “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26.

Why should we forgive others?

1. We should forgive others because it is a command from God, we must forgive others for God to forgive us our sins. And we should know that our sins against God is of greater measure.

2. Because rapture will soon take place and no sinner shall be rapturable, including unforgiving fellow.

3. For our own peace of mind. You will definitely be embittered and lose your peace of mind whenever you see those who have hurt you. This may lead to unhealthy living such as hypertension or stroke. Sometimes, we wait for the offender to apologise to us for the wrong they have done to us before we forgive them. They may come and some may not come either  because of their pride or fear of what they likely face in confronting you. Whatever be the case, you must learn to hold unto God and forgive them all for the sake of heaven and our relationship with God.

4. For us to be at peace both with God and men. As it is written, “Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no one shall see God.” Hebrews 14:12.

The prodigal son does not deserve to be forgiven, but his father forgave him and even celebrated his return. We must forgive others sincerely with love of God.

Prayer Point:

1. Lord, help me to have and exercise my victory over the spirit of unforgiveness In Jesus Name.

2. Lord, I release and forgive from my heart all who have offended me in Jesus name.

FORGIVENESS - 1

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

THURSDAY. 13TH JANUARY, 2022

A Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Topic: FORGIVENESS – Part 1

Memorize: “If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.”  Psalm 130:3-4.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 103:2-3.

EXPOSITION

Forgiveness is a virtue from God through which our relationship is restored back to God. He started it from the Garden of Eden when he covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve with animal skin instead of their weak-soon-dried fig leaves. He made the first sacrifice for our forgiveness. Since the fall of man, all men have become sinful. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. David said, “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.” Psalm 51:5. But our forgiveness comes from God through our Lord Jesus Christ… It is written, “Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.” Acts 5:31. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14.

At this point, we must know that no sin is too big for God to forgive us, once we confess it. He forgave the adulteress woman, the thief on the cross, demonic possessed Mary Magdalene, etc. At the same time, no sin is too little that He will ignore, if not confessed and repented of. We must acknowledge our sins and confess them to God sincerely and repent from it, then we shall be forgiven. He does not only forgives us, he also takes it far away from us, so it will not be remembered again. It is written, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12. Hallelujah for the forgiveness we received by faith in Christ Jesus. Henceforth, walk in the reality of our forgiveness given by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer Point:

Lord, help me to walk in the reality of the victory given to me over sin and flesh in Jesus name.

Topic: COMPANION NOT COMPETITORS

Memorize:  “And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.” Malachi 2:15.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:18.

EXPOSITION

Man was created to fulfill God’s mandate. The foundation upon which the happy home stands is love and companion. God at his appointed time gave Eve to Adam when he discovered his need for an help meet. He (Adam) was never the one complaining but God saw the need. When Adam saw her, he was happy and felt fulfilled. He discerned that she was bone of his bones, and flesh of his flesh. He immediately named her, woman. Which mean, taken out a man. She is not another male man, but one with the responsibility of being an help meet, to help him do what he cannot do by himself and for possibility of reproduction. Woman is a man with womb. Therefore, she is not a competitor with the man, but a companion; an help meet – helper. We must therefore discover the our individual roles in having happy home and be ready to do it.

God demands that the man should love his wife unconditionally. No beating, no cheating. And from the wife, God demand total submission from her to her husband. If at all she is higher than her husband spiritually, financially, professionally, etc, her submission to her husband is the key to unlock her heavenly blessings and having heaven on earth joyful home. Where there is competitive spirit, there is death. At this time, true love from the husband will not let him take her submission for granted, not to cheat on her. God has made the two of you companion to each other with God as the faithful witness between the two of you. May God bless your home richly in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:

1. Lord, visit my home and make it a glorious home indeed where true companionship is reigning.

2. Lord, help all the broken homes to be restore and made peaceful and happy in Jesus name.

Topic: THE HOME GOD WANT

Memorize: “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:18.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:26-28.

EXPOSITION

Home is the coming together of a mature man and woman by marriage to form a new family. When God created the first man (Adam), he was created a perfect man, very responsible to keep his home and his environment under the control of God. He usually has daily communion with God. God could trust him to the point of committing the whole creatures unto his care.

The primary assignment of man is to have cordial relationship with God. It is written, “Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Since the duty of the heavenly beings is to praise God and serve Him eternally, God expect us to do the same here on earth.

Concerning Abraham, God said, “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” Genesis 18:19.

Unto Solomon, David said, “That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.” 1 Kings 2:4. This year and beyond, to remain relevant before God, we must renew our relationship with God and keep our communion with Him alive and unbroken.

Prayer Point:

1. Lord, help me to renew my relationship with you now and always in Jesus name.

2. Lord, Help me to raise my children in the fear of God to keep their relationship with you alive in Jesus name.

OUR FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY GOD

Topic: OUR FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY GOD

Memorize: “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1John 1:3.

Scripture Reading: 2 Cor. 6:17-18.

EXPOSITION:

The primary reason why God created man in His image is for us to have fellowship with Him. This was terminated when men sinned in the garden of Eden. God, in His love for humanity, will not want any man to perish; He made the way of escape from the eternal punishment by making His Son, Jesus Christ, the only sacrifice for our redemption; that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Therefore, whenever there is someone who is available to walk with God, God is also ready to draw him/her to Himself in cordial relationship. He found Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Samuel, David, Daniel and the likes in their individual generation, available for Him, and He walked with them and used them. Today, we are celebrating them and bearing names after them.

How now can mortal men (sinful) have fellowship with eternal God who is holy? It is through the cleansing by the blood of the Lamb. The cleansing makes us holy and acceptable to God – 1 John 1:8,9. To experience lasting communion with God, we must put on the righteousness of God made possible by the blood of Jesus Christ and walk according to His will. He will then not be ashamed to call us His children. We also will be boastful to call Him our Father – 2 Cor. 6:17-18.

Prayer Point:

Lord, Cleanse me and make me acceptable to have lasting and unbroken relationship with You in Jesus name.

Topic: THE HOLY GOD

Memorize: “Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.” Psalm 99:9

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 6:1-5.

EXPOSITION:

Holiness is one of the attributes of God. He is too holy to behold or tolerate iniquity. In His holiness, He created angels holy and perfect that they may stand before Him to behold His glory. It is written concerning Lucifer that “You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.” Ezekiel 28:15. Angels retain their positions before God as long as they remained blameless. Lucifer was chased away from before the throne of God in heaven when iniquity was found in him through pride and rebellion, because iniquity cannot dwell with God who is holy.

When Isaiah saw the glory and holiness of God, he immediately realized and admitted he is unclean. He laments, "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts." Our moral righteousness is likened to filthy rag in His presence – Isaiah 64:6. The only eye that will see God is the eye of righteousness. Yet, He desires that we should have fellowship with Him. How? Through the cleansing by the blood of Jesus Christ and the word of God. John 15:3 “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”

Prayer Points:

Holy God, cleanse me by blood that I may be able to stand before you in having acceptable fellowship with You in Jesus Name.

Topic: THE POWER OF TONGUE

Memorize: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21.

Scripture Reading: James 3:2-6.

EXPOSITION:

Tongue, as little as it is, is very powerful both to save and to destroy, to bless and to curse, to prosper and to ruin. Tongue has creative power to bring to pass whatever it decrees. Many people have entered into serious problem through the wrong use of tongue. All the battles of life men are facing are battles of tongues. Curse, spells, divination, lies, enchantments, etc are products of tongue. On the other hand, blessing and prayers are also the product of tongue. The usage determines the end result.

It is written, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Take note that the word ‘death’ comes before ‘life’, which means, it is easier using it wrongly even against ourselves and anyone else than to use it rightly. It is easier cursing than blessing. The reason why the Word of God says, they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof… whether good or bad. The word of God says, it must be bridled so it should not to end us in hell fire. “Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” James 3:5-6. Learn to use your tongue well so as not to be the enemy of yourself.

Prayer Point:

1. Lord, help me to control my tongue that I may not destroy my destiny by it.

2. Lord, destroy every effect of wrong usage of tongue in my life and family.

3. Lord, empower me to use my tongue for my good and the good of all humanity.

WONDERFUL RECOVERY - 2

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

FRIDAY. 7TH JANUARY, 2022

A Devotional Guide of ANCHOR OF LIFE & REDEMPTION MINISTRY, Worldwide.

Author: PASTOR DR. SAMUEL AYORINDE

Topic: WONDERFUL RECOVERY – Part 2

Scripture Reading: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25.

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6:1-7.

EXPOSITION:

Lost and waste are never the wish of God for man. It is the devil, our enemy, that specializes in stealing, killing and destroying all that is good. In contrast, God specializes in wonders and restoration of destinies. Helping men recovering their destinies is His pleasure. It is written, “But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, "Alas, master! For it was borrowed." “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. Therefore he said, "Pick it up for yourself." So he reached out his hand and took it.” 2 Kings 6:5-7. But before recovery can take place, there are things to put in order:

1. Discover who you are. They remembered they borrowed the axe. Examine your life. Are you who you should be or enemy have taken away what belong to you? Remember, "while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. (Matt. 13:25).

2. Cry out at the right time. “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:”Isaiah 55:6.

3. Cry out to the right helper - God Almighty, not idols or men who could not be of help. The sons of the prophet cried to Elisha their master. “Seek the LORD, and ye shall live;” Amos 5:6.

4. Discover what you have lost and probably when it got lost. “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place.” 2 Kings 6:6.

Prayer Point:

1. Father, help me to discover myself and do the needful  so as to experience your wonders in my life.

2. Lord, make my life a sample of your glory.

WONDERFUL RECOVERY - 1

THURSDAY. 6TH JANUARY, 2022

Topic: WONDERFUL RECOVERY – Part 1

Memorize: So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. 2 Kings 6:6

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6:1-7.

EXPOSITION:

God is wonderful in all His doing. His ways, no one can predict. He brings something out of nothing. Only Him can do the impossible. The sons of Elisha discovered the place of their abode is too tight for them. They sought permission of their master to rebuild it to make it spacious for their living. In the process, their borrowed axe head (iron) fell into the river Jordan. Ordinarily, it should have been forever lost, but God’s intervention through prophet Elisha called forth the iron from the river by sacrificing wood instead.

In this new year, I don’t know what was so precious to you that you have lost or being denied, but with God’s intervention, you shall recover all. God of wonder worked against the law of gravity by causing iron (which is heavier than water) to float. They recovered what was taught forever loss. Walk with God and what is threat to you shall be handled and turned to testimony. But forget, Only God can do it. Whatever devil does, is not permanent and it will be with collateral of your soul. It is God that good and perfect gift – James 1:17. David and his men recovered in their wives, children and properties and many spoils of the enemies because God helped him - 1 Samuel 30. You shall recover all your lose this year in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:

1. Lord, let me experience your wonderful intervention in recovering all my lose.

2. Lord, do the impossible in my favour to the glory of your name in Jesus name.

Topic: BLESSINGS OF SECURING GOD'S PRESENCE

Memorize: “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11

Scripture Reading: Psalm 16:8-11.

EXPOSITION:

Blessings are the rewards of securing the presence of God. There are lots of blessings accompanying being in God’s presence. According to Psalm 91:1, the word of God says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.” Dwelling in the presence of God brings us sure protection and security. Psalm 27:1,2 gave us assurance of God giving us victory over our sworn enemies. “The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.”  Please read Psalm 27:1-14.

From our today’s Scripture, Psalm 16:11, we learn that when we desire God’s presence, He will show us the path of life. In His presence is fullness of joy, which is heavenly virtue. Also at His right hand (His presence) are pleasures forevermore. In summary, All goodness of God is only found in His presence. When you possess God, you possess the key to unlock both heavenly and earthly wealth to your satisfaction. You will ask and receive. He will bless you till you old age and to your third and fourth generation.

Prayer Point.

1. Father, help me to experience your great and endless blessings that come from Your presence in Jesus Name.

2. Lord, Help me never to go astray from Your presence in Jesus Name.

DANGER OF DESERTING GOD'S PRESENCE

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Date: Tuesday. 4th January, 2022

Topic: DANGER OF DESERTING GOD'S PRESENCE

Memorize: “But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."  Luke 9:62.

Scripture Reading: Luke 9:61-62.

EXPOSITION:

Quitting the presence of God is very disastrous. When God’s presence departed from king Saul, his life was reduced in value to a mess. Evil spirit from God possessed him and he began to do the unexpected. The mediums of evil spirits he had chased away became what he was seeking for at the end of life. When you desert God’s presence, evil spirit will definitely take over; and outcome of such a life will be so disastrous. The same happened to Samson, when God’s presence departed from him, he became ordinary. Enemies captured him and make mess of his life. His eyes were plucked out and he was bound with fetters of iron. He became an object of amusement before the enemies. When he was carrying God’s presence, enemies could not withstand him, but when he deserts it, he suffered severely in the hand of the enemies.

Another danger of deserting God’s presence is losing the eternal life. You cannot make God your enemy on earth and become his friend after death. Unrestored backslider cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t despise or quit the presence of God, instead, earnestly desire and highly celebrate it. The presence of God is a secure place of safe haven and of a sure success.

Prayer Points:

1. Lord, search me out and help me to discover myself and come back to you in sincerity of heart and purpose.

2. Lord, those who desire to come back to you but lack the ability, help them today that they may be saved.

DESERTING GOD'S PRESENCE?

Topic: DESERTING GOD'S PRESENCE?

Memorize: Be diligent to come to me quickly; for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica… 2 Timothy 4:9-10.

Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 4:25-31.

EXPOSITION:

To desert is to abandon someone or something for whatever reason. Deserting God’s presence is abandoning God’s presence for the lies of the devil, Today, the presence of God is no longer fashionable to people, they are easily offended for a little thing in the Church. They deserted God’s presence for mundane things of this world.

Paul, in today’s memory verse laments, “for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world and has departed unto Thessalonica.” Demas left Missionary team of Apostle Paul and went to Thessalonica to satisfy his own personal pleasure. Where you are today, is it where God wants you or where you have personally chosen for your pleasure? Can God bless you for what you are doing now? What are you doing that speak of you deserting God’s presence? Examine yourself and desist from it before the Day of Judgment comes. When man desert God’s presence, he is disconnected from the source of life and satisfaction.

When you quit the presence of God, you may be substituted in the kingdom service for continuity. Apostle Paul called on Timothy to come and fill the place Demas has left in their kingdom assignment. Hold on to God so you can be relevant and not be substituted.

Prayer Point:

1. Father, help me not to desert your presence in Jesus name.

2. Father, wherever I have deserted your presence for something else, I come back to you, accept me back into your fold and purpose in Jesus name.

3. Lord, As many backsliders, touch them and help them to come back to you in Jesus name.

Topic: JOURNEYING WITH GOD'S PRESENCE – Part 2

Memorize: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me… Psalm 23:4

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 17:45-47.

"45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and He will give you into our hands."

EXPOSITION:

The presence of God is the yearning and the pursuit of the men of old- men of faith. An example is king David. It was the presence of God in his life that brought him victory over Goliath. While Goliath was parading himself and celebrating his strength, skill, fame and experience in battle, David was celebrating his confidence and trust in the presence of God. David said, “Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand.” At the end, the strength and skill of Goliath failed him, but God's presence never fail David. When you seek and value God’s presence above all others on earth, you shall be highly rewarded with glory, honor and protection. Don’t forget that the devil is roaming about, roaring like a devouring lion seeking for whom to devour. 1 Peter 5:8. With God on your side, you too will say, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me…

Prayer Point: * Lord, help me to value your presence more than all things on earth.

Lord, don’t deny me your presence.

JOURNEYING WITH GOD'S PRESENCE -1

ANCHOR OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Date: Saturday. 1st January, 2022

Topic: JOURNEYING WITH GOD'S PRESENCE – Part 1

Memorize: And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."Exodus 33:14

Scripture Reading: Exodus 33:12-15.

12 Then Moses said to the LORD, "See, You say to me, 'Bring up this people.' But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.' 13 "Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people." 14 And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." 15 Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.

EXPOSITION:

God's presence is God Himself. Having the presence of God with you gives you sense of security and greater value. Moses in our today's Scripture reading said, God, if your presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Exodus 33:16. God assured him of His presence. In this new year, you cannot go far in victory and success without God's presence going with you. Jesus said in John 15:5-6, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, He is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."

To experience true greatness and favour from God, you must seek God's presence to accompany you in the journey of life wherever you go. With God's presence, He will hold your hands and tell you, "Fear not, for I will help you." Isaiah 41:10. Seek God while it is called today, tomorrow may be too late. With God by your side, you are more than conquerors - Roman's 8:37.

Prayer Point: God Almighty, I seek for  your presence journey with me today and always, that I may be fruitful and fulfilled in your eternal blessed purpose In Jesus Name. Amen.
