Topic:  APPROVED MINISTERS OF GOD – Part 1.

 

MEMORIZE: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.

 

SCRIPTURE READING:  Matthew 7:21-23

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

 

EXPOSITION:

Today, I want us to look into this crucial topic titled “APPROVED MINISTERS OF GOD.” As it is written, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.

 

Throughout the ages, Christianity and communities have placed immense significance on the role of these ministers, also known as clergy, pastors, or spiritual leaders. However, before we delve deeper into this topic, let us first understand the concept of an approved minister of God.

 

An approved minister of God is someone who has been officially recognized and ordained to serve as a spiritual guide, teacher, and shepherd within a specific faith community. These individuals are believed to have received a divine calling from God to carry out specific duties and responsibilities related to their religious practices.

 

While different religious traditions have their own unique requirements and qualifications for being an approved minister, there are certain universal characteristics that these individuals should possess. Firstly, an approved minister of God must be born again and be consecrated to be follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. Being born again is talking of having personal encounter with Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin and a change of life from sinful and untamed life to a regenerated life.

 

The problems we have in the Christianity is the issue of many ministers who are not truly born again. This makes the enemies of the gospel to gain words against us. If all men and women on the altar are truly born again, where would sin have hidden among us? Without personal encounter with God, it is very impossible to be consecrated unto the Lord. Do you want to be an approved minister unto God? You must be sure your personal relationship with Christ is alive and cordial. Know for sure that to walk with God, you must be with Him.

 

PRAYER POINT:  Lord, by your grace and divine enablement, help me to be an approved minister in your kingdom on earth in Jesus name.
