Topic: GOD IS FAITHFUL IN HIS ACTIONS.

MEMORIZE: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23.

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 21:1-2

“And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”

EXPOSITION: 

Today we want to study further to look into another dimension of God’s faithfulness: God is faithful in His action as well as in His promises.

GOD IS FAITHFUL IN HIS ACTIONS.

a. He is faithful in all He does – “For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth.” Psalm 33:4; “The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever, And are done in truth and uprightness.” Psalm 111:7, 8.

b. He is faithful to His covenant – Psalm 78:24-28, “Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven. Men ate angels' food; He sent them food to the full. He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens; And by His power He brought in the south wind. He also rained meat on them like the dust, Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas; And He let them fall in the midst of their camp, All around their dwellings.”

c. He keeps all His promises – Genesis 21:1-2, “And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” 1 Kings 8:20 "So the LORD has fulfilled His word which He spoke; and I have filled the position of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised; and I have built a temple for the name of the LORD God of Israel.” Acts 13:23, 32,33 - “"From this man's seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior--Jesus-” "And we declare to you glad tidings--that promise which was made to the fathers. "God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.'”

d. Christ fulfills all God’s promises – “But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:18, 20.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, let me experience the wonders of your faithfulness to all your promises for my life in Jesus name.
