GOD'S FAITHFULNESS IN - Part 1

MONDAY, 10TH OCTOBER, 2022.

Topic: GOD’S FAITHFULNESS – Part 1

MEMORIZE: “They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentation 3:23.

SCRIPTURE READING: Lamentation 3:22-25.

“This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!" The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.”

EXPOSITION:

Faithfulness is one of God’s chief characteristics. It refers primarily to his reliability on keeping His promises, seen so vividly in both Old Testament and New Testament. Recall, for example, the fulfillment of God’s promises to give Canaan to the descendants of Abraham. Faithfulness is the character of God. He will never ask for  what you cannot do. He himself is faithful in all his ways and doings.

GOD IS FAITHFUL IN HIMSELF

a. He is faithful God – “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” Deut. 7:9; “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Heb. 10:23.

b. He abounds in faithfulness – Psalm 86:15, “But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.”

c. His faithfulness is great – Lamentations 3:23, “They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”.

d. He will remain faithful – 2 Timothy 2:13, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: God is faithful. If He promises you a thing, no matter how unrealistic it is to human senses, He is able to fulfill it.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, let me experience the wonders of your faithfulness to all your promises for my life in Jesus name.
